My only experience with X and X-2, is renting X and watching TheSpoonyOne's X-2 review.
I think the relatively silly storyline may have helped me like it, if I ever played it, even though I mostly avoid JRPGs.

Didn't know The Hobbit was coming out.
My friend Will is huge on PTA as well, his favorite movie is Boogie Nights, which I have yet to see.
I enjoyed both The Master and There Will Be Blood, but felt they both dragged as well, and I wasn't always sure exactly where The Master was going and kind of wanted it to focus more on Scientology, which may have been problematic; if I'd gone in knowing it was more focused on its characters than its controversial subject, I may have enjoyed it more. It was very well-acted, I actually had Joaquin Phoenix and Amy Adams on my personal Oscar ballot this year because of it, so I hope you enjoy it.
I actually don't follow Three Days to the point I know who's in the band. I should, as they're one of my favorite bands from the 2000s, but never really have, so I've only heard about the band "drama" from a quick mention by a 97.1 The Eagle DJ.
So I can't really give an informed opinion...
If you have Java, it's also available on nintendo8.com, where I got up to a space level with tanks and rage quit, pretty much just past where that video ends.
It's a very fun game though, good review. I particularly liked the line "toughest, most shirtless heroes in game history." lol
Maybe they should do a Red vs. Blue series with the Contra characters, as opposed to Halo.
Too bad Arnie's probably too old to do those somersaults in a movie now.
Can't help from personal experience, as I never played the Sims, but I tend to trust Amazon reviews, they've been heklpful for me in the past, so if they're mostly positive, I'd say go for it.
At least you won't have the hassle everyone else is downloading the new one on PC...
Yeah, I took a long hiatus from my walks for a while cause it was too cold outside, and I have allergies as well. I din't realize you were talking about an online service though, I'm just so used to Blockbuster being brick-and-mortar (I used Express, their answer to Red Box once or twice, but still) that I didn't know they had online stuff. I'll check that out if I get the cash necessary.
I played through most of Echoes, and I liked some of the new features, but that Dark World stuff starting frustrating me too much at a certain point. Is there a Gamecube-specific corruption? I don't have a Wii.
That is one awesome chiptune song. What software do you use to make such awesome?
Bad Religion is coming to the House of Blues in Dallas, and it's only $25, but I can't find anyone to go with me lol
But $10? Just to get in to the Dallas county fair was $15 (and you had to pay for crap once you were in), so I'd love a $10 concert, that's a hell of a good price, especially for a good artist; hell, I'd give a bad artist a chance for that much.
I watched the 1up Let's Play where Jose Otero and ... the other guy, played both the SNES Sparkster and this Genesis game. They didn't get very far in this one, if I recall.
I agree with your side rant though, things are getting a little too shit-gritty looking for my tastes. I like dark stories, but you can still use more colors than grey and black in your color pallette.
Nice Dr. Strangelove nod there, too. lol I'll have to play this one myself some time.
