My only issue is the music around Metallia's house which is too cute for it's own good.

Metacritic gave it a 54, but if you read the different reviews I think 70 is more fair. "Pleasantly absorbing", as one reviewer said, seems right to me.
leeradical42 did a pretty large blog on the game a few months ago detailing much more about the game.
I'd love to pick up some Move controllers. I think there's a gun periferal you can put them in for the House of the Dead and Killzone 3 games.
Funny you should mention High Velocity Bowling. My friend Mark used to have a PS3 years ago and I still have him as a friend on mine. I was comparing games the other day and he had HVB on there. He played that a bunch when he had his system.
I'm only twenty minutes from the famous Geno's in South Philly but I usually get the 'burbs version which is a chopped steak sandwich.
I'm really tempted to drop my weekly comic shop run and stick to the library and save some money, but I really love reading stuff as it comes out. Plus some of the stuff I read is more obscure and wouldn't be in the libraries like Atomic Robo and FUSE.
I am going to get Batman Dark Knight Returns from the library though. I gotta mine that resource a bit more.
And yes, my library has the Halo Graphic Novel, so it might be at yours.
Just read Travis' review. I'm pretty early on in the game, but he says doing the rhythm game well doesn't really create a better weapon. That it seems to be random. I keep thinking I have to hit the weapon in certain locations, but I'm not sure if that'll make any difference.
I'm liking it now, but I may start seeing the things Travis is talking about later on.
I've been playing it in very short bursts and so it doesn't annoy me to have to play that rhythm over and over. I actually didn't notice there was an actual tune to it. It just sounded like rhythmic clangings to me. I am noticing that sometimes what I thought was a good performance didn't result in a much better weapon. I was wondering if you have to hit the weapon in certain spots. I know they tell you not to hit the same spot more than once, but I keep wondering if I'm supposed to hit areas around the shape of the weapon or on the weapon itself to get the best results. Sounds like it doesn't matter at all though.
I like the concept of the game so much though, and the text is pretty funny to me. Trying to match the right weapon with the NPC is fun. I lost one weapon because it wasn't the right one for the job once.
I didn't realize 'til later that I could hold down the fire button on the LKW and keep discharging shots.
The last fight you have inside the Asylum is the perfect place to let fly with the dual rockets. It's up close and personal and everyone goes to pieces. Weehoo!!!
