When I got to thinking of it, "Pixls" was the first thing that I came up with in my mind. 

There's a pretty big difference between the norwegian rats we call pets and the bigger ones you'd find in NYC, but I can see what you mean. Heck, we have rats out here in Nova Scotia that dwarf any cat I've ever seen!

The fight with Andross worked out on my end, but my computer crashed pretty bad for some reason soon afterwrds LOL

I thought that might be the case 

They can live to be up to four years old, but that's an exceptional time. 2-3 years seems to be the average. If I could recommend any rodent? Definitely a rat! They're like smaller, mouse-shaped dogs. Just as intelligent and super loyal and affectionate!

Lame dude. Man, it's like every wave of laptops has a built in killswitch these days! Tick-tock, eh? 

Yeah, it's gonna take forever to get them all back, so bleagh... but at least they're not lost forever. 

Gross. Well, hopefully your replacement fills the hole nicely. I need friends like yours! 

If nothing else, I'm going to have either a new laptop or a new LCD panel screen that I can hook the Hauppauge HDPVR up to within the next few months. 

TBH, I think the only chance I have is to literally take the disk itself out and transplant it into a new enclosure, THEN try.  But I don't have the tools for it.
