Wii Remote Plus Revealed By Gamestop

Yeah this was a really cool game. I didn't play it this year at E3, but the year before, and I enjoyed it greatly then.

This Wii Remote Plus is the right idea, I'm glad that Nintendo finally made one. It seemed like an obvious direction from the beginning, and I wonder what the reasoning behind waiting till now was to actually make it.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game Review

I'll echo both Jason's and Chessa's sentiments here. Quite honestly, Scott Pilgrim was a bit of a disappointment, if only because it fell flat in a couple regards.

The various stats are convoluted by the arbitrary leveling system that could've handled both adding moves to the roster and improving stats. As it stands, players have to hoard all of their money just to make themselves legitimately stronger and better defended.

Far and away my biggest complaint are the controls. Moving slow (prior to upgrades) is too slow and fast is too fast. This is made evident when trying to revive a downed player. Zeroing in on the right location to start healing them is far tougher than it should be because movement is so clunky.

I'd actually like to see them make a sequel, regardless of how little sense it makes, just to perfect the groundwork laid here.

I never got to check out the original version of this, but I was pretty interested in it at the time of its release. I did hear that it had some problems, so hopefully they will be addressed here.

Professor Layton and the Unwound Future Review

I'm excited to give this one a shot, especially after hearing Ches gush over it for the past week or so. I still have to play the second one, but eventually I'll get around to the both of them.

Summer of Arcade 2010 Recap

Out of the five, I probably enjoyed Hydro Thunder the most, with Lara Croft as a close second. Really, Lara Croft totally threw me off guard. I had no real expectations going in, but I wasn't too keen on the idea of the top-down approach. As it turned out, it's probably one of, if not the, best co-op titles of the year.

Castlevania was a big letdown, though I had my doubts about that one as well. Regardless of the weird design of the whole game, I thought it would pan out to be just as much fun as the other Metroidvania-style games have been, but it turned out to be frustrating, annoying, and cryptic to say the least.

Monday Night Combat was a decent enough idea, but I found myself growing bored of it pretty quickly, especially with the seemingly unbalanced Spy class.

Limbo was a slightly better-than-average game, but nothing special at all. I don't quite understand the media love for it, and I can't say that I'd recommend it after going through the whole game in a mere 2 hours, especially at $15.

Radiant Silvergun and Fire Pro-Wrestling Coming to Xbox 360

Both of these should be great, but yeah Radiant Silvergun is more desirable for me as well.

Avatars in Fire Pro is not something I would've ever considered seeing, so I'll be interested to see how it turns out.

Team Ico Collection Information Revealed

Based on your seeming distaste for 3D Zelda, I'm guessing you won't be into it either. It's not quite the same thing, but there are enough similarities that I don't think you'll enjoy it much.

I'm personally excited for this news. Both titles are magnificent and a High Def re-release with a steady framerate is exactly what both of these games needed.
