I didn't have a Genesis growing up, and I actually still don't own one, so I usually missed out on great Genesis games like Rocket Knight Adventures. I was aware of this particular game, though. I think my cousin had it. I remember playing it and really liking it.

I later played Sparkster on my SNES and was immediately disappointed. It really isn't on the same level at all!

BTW, Contra: Hard Corps is still the best Contra game ever!

We always enjoyed prox mines in the Facility as well. It was amazing where you could hide some of them, haha.

We had a lot of bitchin' gametypes, too. One I loved was a game in Perfect Dark where the only weapon on the map was the handgun, with a scope, and combat boosts were everywhere. You'd take a boost, which made everything go in slow-motion, and everyone would fight it out Matrix-style.

Have you seen the figures they have out for the original comics? They came out a few years ago and they are awesome!

Agreed. There'd have to be a special 3DS containment unit for amount of awesome.

Oh yeah, I know what you mean. My teenage self couldn't rationalize, though, haha.

I still hold out hopes for a 3D remake of FFVI on the 3DS. Now that Square Enix seems to have Matrix Software developing games like 4 Heroes of Light and FF Dimensions I'm thinking the 3D remakes are over. 

Couple's Mask, eh? That's probably it, all I remember is that it was poison!

I hate when I miss stuff so much!. What burned me even more was that a friend of mine and I were playing FFVIII at the same time, and it was kind of turning into a competition of who could finish the game most completely and first. It was never a spoken thing, but we'd both compare notes each day and see who was further. The same thing happened with Super Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time.

Anyway, I missed some magazine in a dream sequence that you need to get the final limit break, so I thought I could never get it (although I think I've read you still can). I found out later that he'd been playing with a strategy guide the whole time! So he had it, and I didn't. I just put the game down and never played it again, lol.

I rented FFX-2 when it first came out and I liked the battle system, but it was a little too Charlie's Angels for me at first, haha.

Also, I was totally jaded that this was the first sequel to an FF game, when I was (and still am) pining for a sequel to FFVI.

I have never heard of this game whatsoever. Very cool!

I was never a big fan of the Tomb Raider games as a kid. I played the original for the PSX and liked it, and I think I eventually got one of the sequels on the PC, maybe? I remember not liking playing it with a keyboard, but I could be making that up.

Anyway, this game is getting amazing reviews! I'm glad it's a great game, because I know there are a lot of fans of the franchise.
