You should play it! It's really good. 

I can vouch for Monster Tale, I've beaten the game, it's great. I think the Epic Mickey game is pretty good too as it hearkens back to the old Genesis Mickey Mouse games. 

They're great games, so you should totally give them another shot. 

The second game is especially tough, but if I can beat it, I think you can too. Plus they have two difficulty modes (kids and adult) and I beat it on the easier of the two. 

You should really try to beat the first one, as it's the best of the Trilogy, but the others are great too. Hopefully Nintendo will release the Trilogy soon for Switch, or at least a remaster of the first game. 

Yeah, RPGs are tough because they're such a time sink 

Well now it's being ported to Switch, which is good since getting a PSX copy now is probably pretty pricey. 

It's my GOTY for 2007 as well, and that was a good year! When I got 3D All-Stars, I played through and beat Sunshine because I hadn't played it, and I didn't like it much. So after that I replayed Galaxy, and it still holds up. It was a joy to play again. The music is a big part of that experience. 

I think the second game had more memorable songs, and for me, True Heroes sticks out in my mind, it's one of my fave final boss themes. The musical style for these games is very distinct, like you said, which helps to give the games an identity. 

Galaxy 3 would be great, but I think it's more likely we'll be getting Odyssey 2, or something like Bowser's Fury (open world). Open world is all the rage, so another Galaxy game would be unlikely.
