It's better to avoid Blake so you're doing yourself a favor. Some of my friends here probably like it because the victim gets her well deserved revenge but I just didn't have it in me to watch Jennifer get raped repeatedly. (Yeah,it doesn't happen just once because hey,once just isn't traumatic enough!) Beyond that it doesn't do anything other films in this genre haven't.

As for "snuff porn" I understand most of it is fake but try telling that to me as a naive teen. lol. I really thought it was legit and that fucked with my mind for quite awhile.

Satirizing a satire does seem to miss the point. It's as you say, Starship troopers is meant to be cheesy and a mockery of blinded zealous patriotism.

When I can afford it I'll probably get a PS4. Before that I'll still likely get a PS3 and 2DS. lol.

I think people play PW for the story,characters, and plot revelations. There's nothing wrong with the visual novel format so imma gonna disagree with IGN!

I want to pick up Diablo III for the 360 myself. That said, I'm glad I didn't pick it up at launch. lol. There seemed to be a lot of problems. The Bureau looks interesting too. I like 3rd person shooters and the sci-fi 60's setting is something we don't get too often.

For many folks it's easier to tear something down than build it from the ground up. Usually I find those kind of people are insecure about themselves or just mad at the world for no good reason. lol.

 I guess in their own way they're merely doing a humorous homage to a good film but I don't understand what's impressive about mocking a movie out loud through its' duration then trying to sell that as something special to the consumer. (Hopefully I'm not coming off as an asshole for people who enjoy Mystery Science Theatre & Rifftrax. Different strokes for different folks?)

I find myself torn because this movie sort of slams both genders,Chris. What I mean is that it somewhat exploits the main female character while also encouraging violence against men. (While working under the assumption men are a snap decision away from raping someone) I feel as if movies like this are why I get suspicious or fearful glances from certain females when I'm just picking up groceries or going to the corner store to get some snacks. "Rape hysteria" isn't a good impulse to feed within society. Yeah, we need to let people know it happens but we have to be careful how we do it. Otherwise it just creates stereotypes,paranoia,and discrimination.

I feel ya. Don't get me wrong. There are some redeeming aspects to this film (beautiful shooting locales and decent acting from the female lead) but beyond that nothing is what you haven't seen before. I do like how the victim at least gets some closure though.

Exactly. The movie really pushed the envelop and expanded boundaries. I don't think it deserves to be mocked but that's just my personal opinion.
