I think you can also play it as a third-person aciton game.

I never knew there was a Sega hand held 'til fairly recently. My buddy Mark has one and I looked up some games for it. Crystal Warriors looks like a cool game for it. There's also Shining Force II, Dragon Crystal and Defenders of Oasis I'd like to try.
I love Sky Shark. When I first tried to remember "that game I played in College" it took a lot of searching to figure it out. I had no idea what it was called only that it was a WWI game with a biplane and it was a vertically scrolling shooter. Somehow I figured it out. Then I was at a flea market and saw Sky Shark for the NES. I had to grab it. It's not an arcade perfect port. Not by a long shot. But I'll take what I can get. I could probably find a ROM and play it through MAME on PC. Someday I may try that.
Glad you like the blogs.
I usually can't stand puzzle games, but I tried it on a rental and really got into it. You can't really get stuck because you can get hints until you figure it out. You get less points for taking hints, but you get past it.
These guys must each have a Bag of Infinite Holding to carry all those throwing stars.
I got three games on Tuesday: Dust: An Elysian Tale ($3), Dante's Inferno ($3), and Bastion ($3). I'm going to check every day because Major Nelson's podcast said they are doing a lot of sales this week. Weehoo! Also, I started a thread in the Forums about it.
I've always wanted to play Bard's Tale. The only one I played was the Xbox version, which is a very different game from the original.
Oh, thanks for reminding me, I could just get copies of the Game of the Year Edition if it comes to that.
