What platform are you playing Evil Within on? I think you're right, I should grab that game sometime soon!

What I've been up to lately.

I'll definitely be picking up CoD Advanced Warfare. Also, Dragon Age Inquisition. Once I have those my holiday season will be all set.

When you play as Fragtrap does your perspective change since claptraps are shorter than the humans around him? I was wondering because I was watching a Twitch stream of somebody playing Presequel and everything in the world (the enemies, the vending machines, etc.) looked bigger than they were in Borderlands 2.

The alien is the best part of the game, and its AI is pretty superb. I played the game on Normal difficulty and it felt perfect. I died a lot, but I still felt like I had some wiggle room to make mistakes, and learn more about the alien's behavior in the process. You can peak around corners and get a look at it for a quick moment and then go back into hiding without it catching on. There are a lot of aspects of its behavior that are dynamic. If you open a door the alien will notice, and subsequently search for whoever opened it. It will hear you running, and sometimes even your walk speed is enough for it to pick up on. It is capable of notice some changes in the environment that you may not realize.

The alien feels like a significant predator in the game, which it should, and it's super oppressive and hair raising. I never came across any bugs, and I never saw the alien do anything that was silly or out of character. It's an impressive piece of AI and design.

The Metroid aspects of the game are perfectly fine, but there's way too many set-backs in the progression of the game. You hardly ever feel like you're making any progress. Each time you reach something that should feel like a milestone in the game you immediatly realize you're still stuck in a huge mess of lockdown protocols, malfuntioning systems, and constant setbacks. There's always another generator to prime somewhere on Sevastopol, and they make sure you prime damn near all of them.

The Mastodon album Call of the Mastodon has a lot of songs that sound a little bit like Meshugga for sure!

FEAR 3 was really bad. I'm sure it's a decent enough (for the $5 I paid for it) action game if you play it co-op, but I never tried. The single player experience was a huge let down on every front. I'll check out Cryostasis, I haven't heard of it till you mentioned it. A more horror focused Bioshock in the antarctic with exposure mechanics sounds really interesting.

Lol, I understand what you mean. I never use to sell my books until now, I want those video games too much Smile

My algebra book is pretty good, but unfortunately I'm renting it from the bookstore at the school, so I have to give it back once finals are over in December so I can't sell it or keep it either way. I probably would have kept that book around for future reference so that I can keep track of some of the formulas and concepts.

Thanks, that's good to know. I'll try to get that review out sometime this weekend. Did you get the game already? What platform would you plan to play it on?

Much abliged, King Jedi-Killer Smile

I decided to not try Colonial Marines after pretty much the whole internet panned it, but I've always wondered what it's really like. I've never gotten my hands on it to see for myself.
