Haha, that was great.
I never had the patience for this game, and I was obsessed with dinosaurs and Jurassic Park as a kid. I loved the sequel, as you mentioned. That game was awesome!

I played all the way through Majora's Mask and I only needed to get one more mask to get the Fierce Deity mask and I got so sick of the time mechanic I just quit, lol. This was years ago when it came out, so I don't remember all the specifics, but I remember whatever mask it was it took all three days and I kept messing something up.
I recently got a copy of it, though. Not sure if I'll play it any time soon, but it's one of those games that nags at me. That and Final Fantasy VIII, which I didn't finish because I missed something along the way and didn't think I could get Squall's final limit break.
I actually didn't get into the Metroid games until Zero Mission was released. I picked it up on my GBA and I absolutely loved that game.
I've played most of Super Metroid a few times, and I like it, but I definitely like Zero Mission more. I've recently been playing Metroid II on the 3DS Virtual Console and I'm actually really liking it.
I played Metroid Prime and loved it, but I stopped playing it at some point and now I'm completely lost! That's the trick with Metroid games, you gotta play them to completion.
I never had a classic computer growing up, we went straight to an IBM model at some point, but I never had the opportunity to play these cool 8-bit Atari games.
I find myself wanting a classic computer sometimes, but I think the one I'd want (even though the software isn't cheap) is an MSX2. That Atari XE has always caught my eye, too, though.
Very cool post!
One of my fave things to do in the MGS was just mess with the guards. After finishing the game, I'd throw on the infinity bandana and just screw around for hours.
If I didn't already have a GC and GB Player, I'd take you up on that offer, haha.
I just subbed Press Pause Radio. I used to listen to some gaming podcasts, but got out of it. I just deleted all the old ones and I'm going to try PPR out for a bit. I'll get a few in before your PAX East stuff!
My condolences on your cat. I know I'd be heart-broken if I was in your situation.
Cave Story + on Steam, is that definitive version of the game? I want to play it, but I'm trying to figure out which edition to get. There are so many!
The DS games are some of the best ones, so that's a good start!
I've seen mixed reviews for Mirror of Fate, actually. Apparently there are those that don't like the short lenght (like 9 hours or so). I personally don't mind short games at all, so I'm still keeping an eye on it!
Nice! I don't think I had any of those cups. I used to have the McDonald's cups for different movies, like The Flintstones, Jurassic Park and Batman Forever (which lit up). I loved those!
Yeah, that's generally the case. I don't think this one is enjoyed by everyone, but I like it.
Another cartoon I've been enjoying latey is Tron: Uprising (I'm a huge Tron fan), but I think that's either in the process of, or has been, cancelled.
