It's not as laugh-out-loud funny consistently as that one, but it does have some pretty good laughs in it, it's touching, and man does it look cool. I think you'd enjoy it.

But everything that is on sale right now would still be on sale through Jan. 3? As long as that's true, I'm ok, I just need to re-calculate my budget to see what I can get away with for PS4 and Steam this year.
Wait, if you beat the dragon, you're more than halfway through God of War? Are we thinking of the same dragon? That felt like the first real boss to me.
I just don't think Diablo and mobile gamers have much crossover, so I didn't understand the announcement. But I've never been a huge fan of the outrage culture that seems so prominent in the gaming community (this is a big reason I find Twitter annoying as well), so ... I don't know where I was going with this, but fuck Twitter. I'll never miss an opportunity to say that.
I'm not sure how we got on Batman TellTale, but I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought they take a few too many liberties with the characters. I didn't mind it TOO much, cause in my mind comic book characters change so much over time and in different versions anyway, but I would continuously feel like "I chose what Batman would do, so why ... ?"
I was looking at random Washington Post headlines and drifted out there for a minute, but now I remember I want to buy Bloodstained.
I hate that Steam and Netflix have competitors. All hail whichever app I happen to already use.
Wait, I had no idea Discord was used during gaming.
I drifted away again, but now I also want to get DuckTales on Steam.
Too many good games. Boo. BOOOOOOOOOO! Why so many good choices?! Shame on you, games.
Looking forward to video game cage match. Will we also vote on who is in the cage match or will the competitors be pre-selected? If the voting is on Twitter, then FINE. I'll make a new account. Even though I really do not want to.
I was going to change my comment on this episode to talk about Microsoft as I experience them: via PC. But oh well. I think the ones you've read so far have more interesting points to make than I did.
I just can't bring myself to pull the trigger on a Switch, but I will say I vastly prefer having unlockable characters in fighting games to not. If the criticism is HOW you unlock them, fine, but Ryan's scoffing at the concept was a bit weird to me, since I see that as one of the best reasons to replay a fighter's arcade mode. Unlocking by paying is also bad practice, but unlocking by playing the game is just what I need to enjoy the single player most times, and I'm super bummed it's not really a thing any more.
Can confirm: The stupid search function of one-letter-at-a-time is gone from the PS Store. It now uses the same virtual keyboard Netflix and EVERY OTHER PS4 APP ALREADY HAD. Why the hell did that take so long?!
I didn't have quite the level of Julian's download issues on my PS4, and I do use Wi-Fi, but it used to be a lot worse before I sent everything to my external storage (2TB HDD). Now, I can look forward to several big games being uploaded the next morning if I so want.
I'm digging the Castlevania music about an hour in and will come back for part 2.
Huh. I loved Blade Runner 2049. Granted, I saw it in the theater and a lot of my love had to do with the visuals. I also knew going in it would be slow, since the original was as well. I think I followed it well enough, but maybe I looked things up? I can't remember.
I need to do that classic movies thing, but for classic books. I read all the typical high school stuff, like Crime & Punishment and Brideshead Revisited, but there are gaps like Little Women and Pride & Prejudice. Also, now that I have debt of my own, I want to re-read Crime & Punishment, cause I think Dostoyevsky will read way differently in my current life context.
I think this was intended for mothman, but I'm still gonna chime in to say I like having different save slots. What if I want a friend to experience the game without erasing my own progress? What's wrong with save slots?
Those all sound good. Hmmm ... maybe the pinball game first or whatever is cheapest on Steam.
Apparently, Mortal Engines as a movie was heavily inspired by Mad Max: Fury Road.
Wait, why would Ni No Kuni II not count?
