I remember Toy Commander. I liked that game. Controls weren't perfect though.

Love that Space Invaders Xmas tree! Now I want to make one in real life.

Ha! I remember that part. Annoying, but I made it through.

Why couldn't it have been exactly like Dragon Quest VIII! I loved that game and it had a similar style but pure turn-based battles. HD version for PS3? I wish.

My feelings exactly! I got hung up on a Lava boss creature (I forget the name) and then got slaughtered trying to get back to town. I rage quit, but I may read a guide and then give it another shot. I just didn't like the way you navigate options during battle. You had to think fast and find the right selection bubble before an enemy attack. It was not a comfortable system.

Air Conflict: Vietnam Xbox 360 is it worth it

I love helicopters in games. You would think for a Vietnam game the first thing you would do is get the chopper controls just right since I think there was a lot of that in that war. I can imagine some really cool missions flying helicopters into the jungle to drop off troupes and pick up wounded while avoiding getting shot down. I mean, the scene begining the movie Predator is totally like the beginning of a mission in Vietnam, or at least, it should be. Or the opening to Far Cry: Blood Dragon where you shoot a chain gun from a helicopter at the start. I landed copters in all sorts of wooded areas in Just Cause and searched for orbs with the copter in Crackdown 2. Those games had great choper controls. Just do that, add some Predator style attitude and intensity of action, and put it all in real locations in Vietnam. Done.

Diseased and Nostalgic but Still Gaming

I see lots of those models at the comic shop every week. People really get into it.

I played some Crimson Shroud. I was so excited for it but playing it wasn't as great as I imagined. I spent all my time in menu screens. It would've been better if there was some Final Fantasy Tactics type characters moving on a board with some extra strategy. It was more like playing with spreadsheets. I like stat management but I need some visuals to spice it up.
