Heard of it, but wasn't really catching on to what it was. So it's essentially Sony's Vita version of the Gameboy Player.

I have absolutely no clue what you're talking about, but congrats on your new toy.
I'm going for Scion of Mothman, myself. Spawn of Mothman works, too, but scion sounds more important (which, by definition, it is).
That machinery for the dumbwaiter is way cool! I have a friend who bought an old Victorian and discovered a speakeasy in the basement.
Why do people have to be assholes and ruin everyone else's fun? I'm hoping Live is back up, because I want to download the new Games with Gold game tonight.
Sounds like you're still having a blast with Borderlands TPS.
I don't have a beefy enough computer to play PC games, alas. Probably just as well, with all the consoles I own...
You have intrigued me with Annihilator.
Yeah, it's pretty much a couch co-op game.
I know, for some reason Tom gets left out of just about everything. As for the movies, Peter Jackson just didn't get the mythology that made the books so powerful for me. Over-emphasis on romance that didn't exist (Arwen was such a minor character in the books) and dramatic war scenes of events that never happened also annoyed me. I don't mind that people like the movies, I just can't stand them.
I hear you. That's what happened to me with the first Assassin's Creed, except that it was a beautiful game, but the game play was just so freaking boring. It's also happened to me with other games that other people seem to love. I can't think of any specific ones off the top of my head, though.
As for games based off The Lord of the Rings, I don't play them. Most of them are inspired by the movies, which I loathed. Especially since I love the books so much. The one exception was Lego LotR. And even then, I kept thinking "but that's not what really happened!".
