I just recently tried one of these types of games on xbox, Civilization V. How does Genghis Kahn relate? I've only played an hour but it seems like it's the same idea. At first I wasn't sure as I played it, but as time went on and I started learning more of the gameplay i was starting to get hooked, so I think I can relate to your experience.
As far as reviews go, I thing establishing a wait period before releasing a review would be adequate. Accepting that a game is not really the "entire release" at launch, within 2 weeks the game should be playable based on the money we spent. I don't think people waiting for the review to buy the game will mind lag time and people who buy at launch usually are interested enough to go ahead and buy before a review hits anyway. Future changes to the game after 2 weeks should only be enhancements. Launch game issues should already be taken care of, but I know this may not be the case.
I really enjoyed reading this. I haven't played it yet, but you gave me a good picture of what it's like. I hope to play this soon/ when I can afford it.
lol. Yeah if I lived in your area I don't think I would try it. I also used to watch lots of horror movies. Seeing the exorcist and poltergeist multiple times messed with me. I would lay in my bed as a kid while watching, afraid to hang my legs over the bed (did i mention gage from pet semetary could also slice my heel).
When I had to go to the bathroom I would run to/from my room and from light switch to light switch. We lived out in the middle of nowhere, but the sad part is I continued this well into my twenties 
Yes, the soundtrack is amazing. I ended up getting a free download of it. I love the songs played between each chapter.
I remember Fatal Frame. I actually pre-ordered it when it first came out. It was different. I enjoyed it and the scares, but unfortunately when those games began creeping me out I sold it.
I watched it several weeks ago. I agree it is excellent. I thought it was interesting to see how the different personalities of each game creator reacted to the anticipation of game release and player reactions to their game.
I played this a little when i found it used. I enjoyed what I played of it and found the story/lord of the rings setup for hack n slash very fun. I just got distracted after and hour of play with another game.
Videos are okay for me as long as they aren't too long. Like Coolsetzer, once it starts pushing 5 min I get bored.
I'm glad you're here. I love to catch up on Nintendo stuff since i switched to xbox and ps3.
