Is the Commander Edition XCOM really so different from last year's XCOM? I'm going to get it eventually, but since I just got the old one, I don't think I need to get this day-one.

I remember seeing lots of games for the launch of 360 and PS3 that made me want to get them. I've heard next to nothing about great launch titles for either X1 and PS4 about to come out. There's some out in the Spring like Destiny and Titan Fall, but that's about all I'm interested in. Seems like the new systems only care about COD and Battlefield at launch.
I saw a 360 in Gamestop the other day priced about what you paid and thought, if I didn't have one already, this would be a great time to jump on; the system for around a hundred buck and a megaton of great games to play on it. What a deal!
Also, that rapper's name Ghostface Killah has always stuck in my mind. After reading the wiki page on him, I think I want to hear his stuff.
Finally, CARS! GTAV! I want many of them! I'll steal them all!
Downloading now. I hope it works with my Windows 7 64bit OS.
Reminds me of Happy Core style of electronic dance music.
I played the demo for Red Faction Guerrilla way back when it came out and knew right away from the way vehicles handled that I would love it. I never did pick it up though but watched my friend play it a lot. Now I'll get to play it finally.
Love seeing Raz there as your pic!
Oracle of Ages/Seasons sounds like a good idea.
Part of it might because she's a woman, but I think it's a choice made by 343 Industries. I mean, Karen has written plenty of male centric stuff. She did all the Gears of War books for instance. Stuff I think is just too dude-bro for me. Also, there's a scene in Halo Reach where Halsey appears and acts cold and bossy. Maybe Bungie intended her to be like that from the beginning. I have to go get an audio recording of the Fall of Reach novel again and see how Halsey is portrayed there. That's the memory I'm going on here. Maybe it's off base.
I think you're refering to the New Jedi Order books. Karen wrote one of the 19 books in that series; an e-book called Boba Fett: A Practical Man. The rest were done by all different authors. Karen did a bunch of other Star Wars books though like the Republic Commando series and several books in the Legacy of the Force series. I want to read those Republic Commando books because I thought the story of the game was interesting.
