The Infinity action figures look pretty cool.

Aquatic Ambiance yeah! I still think about that song today some 16 years after first hearing it. You described it very well with, "sadness, serentiy and hope all at the same time".

I used to always dream about being on some adventure, and I would wake up thinking I had just been in some awesome action movie. I haven't had one of those in years though. Now it's all psychological weirdness or work related nightmares or more often nothing at all. Games haven't snuck in there at all even after ten straight hours of Just Cause.

Oh man. I was wondering if any game this year would unseat Ni No Kuni as my favorite, but this might just be it.

We all live in the virtual arcade of online play these days. It's a little different doing it in meat space.

I still have all my maps on graph paper, now faded, but when I played the NES version I had to redraw them all. There are resources online to get all the maps, but it was fun to draw them again. My friend has the Mac version in the same cardboard box the Apple IIc version had. All I need now though is the NES version, which is perfect.

That game still holds up. I keep thinking that it led to Peggle but Peggle is more like Pachinko. Still, the 2D design and the fact that you are launching a ball at targets seems to indicate a connection. Turn Breakout up-side-down and it resembles Peggle more.

I just discovered the flyers archive. I want posters of them pronto!

The Commodore 64 and TRS-80 were both around $600 then. The Apple IIc I had was $1200 and the IBM PC 5150 my Aunt had was a whopping $3000. That's 7K today! I only played Zork on that IBM computer and Wiz on the Apple. The C64 or TRS-80 seemed to have more games made for them and were probably better for that. So my snobbery led me to miss out on some cool stuff. Let that be a lesson to me.

Tanx! I have Wizardry on NES now and it's a good version exactly like the PC version. I tried to play the next two games in the series but they didn't hit the mark like the first one. The first one is perfectly ballanced; challenging, but not unfair. I replayed it a few years ago with a friend. We raced to see who would beat it first. My friend won, but I was close behind. It took about 25 hours.

There's still Funspot in New Hampshire. http://www.funspotnh.com/ One day I want to go to Pax East in Boston and then take the couple hour trip over to Funspot afterwards.
