I always loved hold me up by live, probably just because of Zak and Miri. I love that film. As far as the Smoking Popes, I have been listening to that entire album and Need You Around is also an awesome song that I cannot stop listening to, and can find a video for.
I got a gameboy really late, and by that point Pokemon was on its third or fourth incarnation, so I did not bother playing it until Black and White.
I have been playing more and more german games as of late, stuff like The Settlers of Catan and Carcassonne. Careers is my game of choice if I go the Milton Bradley/Parker Brothers route.
I have not played it, but I will definitely add it to my ever growing collection of games to check out. I did luck out and my wife did really enjoy carcassonne and catan, and those are still fun with only two players.
Casual. I did not want the added stress of permadeath. If I play through it a second time, I will definitely try permadeath. I just finished up the 10th mission.
I should probably just block kickstarter so that I am not tempted by high hopes and false promises. I will definitely keep tabs on games that get kickstarted, but I think that I am going to stop actually putting up the money.
There are a handful of people around here that recently picked up a 3DS. Unless I sidetracked by the gbc zelda games, I will probably tackle SMT IV next.
I may finally have to pull Dishonored out of the stack of games that I have finished, but not quite completed to my own satisfaction.

Having just finished this game a week and a half ago, I will say that I regret not picking it up a lot sooner. Also, I will definitely pick up the sequel/reboot a soon as possible. Possibly before I even have a console to play it on.
Whenever I got into the groove of the gameplay, I always felt like a badass as Faith. She was such an awesome character and I felt so bad whenever I missed a jump and she fell all the way to the ground.
I thought that the game was a perfect difficulty and had little trouble with the controls after the tutorial. I wish that I would have remembered everything that she could do, because slowing time would have saved my life quite a few times. Most of my problem with the difficulty of the game had to do with my own inability to time jumps correctly. I did have a couple of issues with some of the firefights, but yet again it was usually my fault that I died. I cannot comprehend how Julian finished the last level without using a gun at all.
