In the Xbox reveal video they mentioned Microsoft now has 300,000 servers for Xbox Live world wide. Wow!
The system seems big and boxy. Not an attractive machine. I like being able to jump out of a game really quickly to look at a video or search the web or even open a window on the side while playing. I do that now with walkthoughs on a Mac right next to my TV while playing a game. Pretty cool to have all that on one screen.
I was wondering where I heard Xbox One before and in thinking of old games I came across it. The Playstation One. Remember that?
Right on!
I can't think of what would make me buy this thing day one but it would probably be some incredible game. I pulled the trigger on 360 when Oblivion came out about six months after the 360 launch. It's always the games for me.
Xboxeve! I love it! It does feel like that. 1pm tomorrow on the east coast.
I was listening to Major Nelson's podcast (I guess he would be Santa on Xboxday) and he litterally shouted the word "Infinity" in reference to some game for no apparent reason. I don't know if he was giving a hint or a misdirect, but it did make my ears perk up (not like a rabbit, just made me listen harder).
I've done everything except for Claptrap's New Robot Revolution. I've done all the achievements so far as well. That Underdome DLC I did with a friend and it took a good long while. The last set of arenas took several hours each to complete and you can't stop in the middle.
I really wanted to love this game. It has the humor and turn-based strategy that I like. Something wasn't quite great about it as I remember though. I forget exactly what it was but I never finished it so maybe the gameplay fell apart somewhere down the line.
As I'm looking at your screen shots I'm thinking, wouldn't a Ratchet & Clank turn based game be just amazing?
On Wired's Game/Life podcast today Chris Kohler mentioned that EA initially declared themselves very supportive of the Wii-U. Now, not even Madden is going to have a Wii-U version. I wonder what happened?
I'm thinking of getting a Wii-U when Pikmin 3 comes out in August.
I'm sure Nintendo doesn't care. They've always been distant with third party support. They just have to put out Mario, Zelda, and Metroid and their system will do fine. Oh yea, and maybe some casual stuff too.
Maybe they could implement 4 player co-op for real this time.
