I think inmersion and engaging are sides of a same coin. Both suck you into the game and never let you go, and it doesn't really have to just cover gameplay, but also story, enviroment and well, anything in a game.

I don't know, for what I'd seen Portal 2 seems very cool on the gameplay side and I would like to explore more of the story, which i've seen the second game has.

I concur with you, except Wheatley because I have yet to play Portal 2.

Give Portal more time. Around the parts where you learn how to reach high places and you get the second expansion that allows for orange portals, the game gets so much better.

I'm glad I did BaD. It put my writing abilities in good use and made me write blogs that I wouldn't have done before. Just two days!!!

  • "Choose life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family. Choose a fucking big television, Choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players, and electrical tin can openers. Choose good health, low cholesterol and dental insurance. Choose fixed-interest mortgage repayments. Choose a starter home. Choose your friends. Choose leisure wear and matching luggage. Choose a three piece suite on hire purchase in a range of fucking fabrics. Choose DIY and wondering who the fuck you are on a Sunday morning. Choose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing spirit-crushing game shows, stuffing fucking junk food into your mouth. Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pissing your last in a miserable home, nothing more than an embarrassment to the selfish, fucked-up brats you have spawned to replace yourself. Choose your future. Choose life . . . But why would I want to do a thing like that? I chose not to choose life: I chose something else. And the reasons? There are no reasons. Who needs reasons when you've got heroin?"

The only one I'd played from this list Diddy Kong Racing (which I never owned). I remember having a good time with it and also liking the DS remake.

If you want to get into Halo, I recommend to start with the first Halo (original or Anniversary, either one is a good choice), then go to Halo 2 and continue with the rest. Both games are good introductions into the mechanics and will make you understand the story more and follow it better.

Can't blame them, since Halo isn't supposed to be for kids anyway. Still, I think a kid can play Halo so as long as he understands the difference between fantasy and reality. That's why my parents let me play Halo. Even jgusw's oldest son (I think, you can correct me jgusw :P) isn't more than 17, but plays Halo just fine.

Hope Halo 2 Anniversary becomes true. It would be awesome to see those graphics in HD. It would even make the already great graphics epic.
