BaD Community Blog Vol. 1

This is really difficult for me because there are so many that are close. I think I have to go with Persona 4 just because of the depths to which I was drawn into the game. I have never got so involved with game characters and their lives to the extent I did in P4.

Lost Odyssey, Xenoblade Chronicles and as has been mentioned a few times in here FF IX would be up there too. In non-RPG games Silent Hill's 1, 2 and 3 are among my favourites.

Nope, didn't know the details but honestly I didn't really look into them.

Pre-Gaming

I won't be watching the Superbowl today. I haven't watched one in over 20 years and before that it was generally for the party rather than the game itself. My best friend from back then is a Patriots fan and I went to Boston with him one weekend and got to see the Pats play for free.

For that reason I'm rooting for the Patriots. I think the whole deflategate thing is stupid and boils down to the other team being poor losers trying to justify an embarassing loss. A question, Don't both teams use the same footballs?

BaD #01: More Proof FFXIV is the Final Fantasy We All Want!

Ok, you almost made me think about buying the game but then I remembered the monthly subscription so that ain't gonna happen. I'm not going to spend a couple of hundred bucks a year to play a game.

I could save that and use it towards a Wii U, PS4, new 3DS or a Vita.

GLaD #1: Let's see how long I last this time!

Welcome to BaD one day early! Well except for Blake because it's tomorrow there and their toilet water spins the wrong way so whaddya gonna do?

Relationships are full of all kinds of emotions including but not limited to heartbreak. Sometimes you get it wrong but as you've discovered you get more chances just as long as you keep moving on. Do not dwell on the ones that don't work out. It's a waste of time. At least that's the advice I should have taken when it happened to me. :)

My last 8 months haven't been that exciting. My contract which should have ended on December 19th got extended to the end of August 2015.

My wife and I bought 2 tickets for a hospital lottery and those two tickets won us 4 more tickets. However on the main draw we won NOTHING!

I picked up a PS TV with a controller, 8 GB card and Lego Movie game for $99 which seems to be the regular price now. I love it for playing PSP and PS1 games. I have some Vita games for it too but I'm pissed that some games like the newly released Grim Fandango do not work on it. Memories of Celceta was on sale this week but it doesn't work on PS TV either. Overall though it is small and quiet and works well for the games it does play.

Can't think of anything else worth talking about right now. Glad that you are participating. Just noticed your PSN there. I really should add you just to see what you are up to.

Under-Appreciated Awesomeness: Volume One

Well I did like what I played of Bioshock, the first Unreal and older games like Doom and Duke Nukem.

Under-Appreciated Awesomeness: Volume One

I have Millenium Girl or rather I bought it for my son and he's finished it so I can play it. I've played some of EO IV and I enjoyed it so far but it really has no story which is both good and bad for me. Bad because it doesn't hold my interest for very long and good because there's not a lot of remembering what happened last to do when I go back to it.

I'm playing Persona Q right now and you'll probably love that one.

Singularity I've passed up on for less than 10 bucks a couple of times but then again I'm not much into FPSs and they can make me seasick with all the bobbing up and down.

Costume Quest 2 Review

That's a shame. I picked it up on sale after finishing the first game but haven't touched it yet. Obviously I'll still play it and see for myself but your review doesn't make me feel good about it.

I'm done with Destiny, giving Titanfall 360 a chance, basketball won't die.

I picked up 3D Dot Game Heroes for 10 bucks a while back and played a bit. It was fun but I'd like to give it more time. Definitely Zelda like.

I'm Still Not Making Any Puns

I'd be interested to find out what you didn't like about the other Double Fine games like Psychonauts, Stacking, Costume Quest, The Cave etc.

I almost bought Grim Fandango for Vita but then found out it isn't compatible with PS TV and I don't own a PS4 so I guess it's the PC version for me. I've had the PC version for a few years but it glitches out a lot on modern OSes so I never finished
