This year so far there's been one game I want each month, with FighterZ in January and SotC remake this month. March has Far Cry 5, which I'll wait for reviews for.
A Way Out and Ni No Kuni II release on my birthday, but I don't like JRPGs and I'm a single-player gamer mostly.
I have the same issue with completing games to do it. Sometimes it's a matter of "I can get a Platinum in this easily, so I will" like with the LEGO games.
I'm debating whether to 100% Yakuza 0 because of how close I am to doing so or stopping when I get to the mahjong achievements I really don't care about. I've already used tons of guides for the pocket racers, which is something I usually have an issue doing because I like to say I figured things out for myself ... but I care too little about modding those cars just right to do it over and over until I get exactly the right setup.
I think I need to go back to what I did in the old days: buy like maybe 10 games per system cycle and just milk what I want and fill in the gaps with rentals.

I'd recommend 4 Lokos for any cage match drinking. You'd both crash quick and feel like garbage after, but you'd be fired up for a bit.

This is the first year I really have a theme, but your emulator and Wii games are always fun to hear about.
I'm in the same boat as far as the TV series, but I love Arc System Works games and they worked on FighterZ.
Honestly, I didn't consider it a Metroidvania. It had some backtracking, but to me it was an action-platformer first. WHich I guess Metroids are as well, but I don't recall Strider focusing all that much on exploration.
Well, while it's not technically an emulator, that is what I was talking about. Such a better value proposition than shitty PS Now.

I don't remember what I paid for Gravity Rush Remastered, but I definitely bought it on sale. I like the main character as well. I was a little weirded out by some of the times the game would imply she's homely, because she's so clearly not. You meet a guy looking for his dream girl who doesn't think she's "fair" enough and it's like ... dude, she's waaaaaay out of your league; seize the opportunity.
I can't imagine Stardew Valley is much different from Farmville ...
I'd buy Pokken Tournament if I ever got a Switch.
Hyrule Warriors was fun while I played it, which was for about an hour or two at a friend's place, but I could definitiely see it getting too repetitive.
Same here as far the old phone. I wanted to go out more, but my phone was not going to handle Pokemon Go, so I had to go without Pokemon.
I know at least one or two people on here who actually really liked Zero and said they got used to the controls, but I just wish they'd make a regular Star Fox game with regular controls. He's seriously like Nintendo's mini-Sonic at this point in that they can't accept people just want the classic gameplay and not a bunch of gimmickery.
