Gamertag to Face

Oh, you started this? It's been great. And you're right, no one ever looks like what you would expect, but it's still cool.

This is probably true for most people. Kids enjoy games, but when you reach high school, you will either lose interest in games or become a serious gamer. I'm assuming all the pixlbit members are serious gamers.

Great song. It does justice to the original, which has to be one of the best rpg themes out there. Wild Arms as a whole has great music, but the original theme is the best part of it all.

If you had no reference for the beat em up genre, I suppose you would find the game enjoyable, that, and you were 11. Oh to be young and naive!

I love VG music too and try to do my own posts when I can. My favorite VG soundtracks are Final Fantasy 6, Chrono Cross, and Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2. But there are tons of great soundtracks! Looking forward to this podcast, keep it up, Julian.

Turtles in Time is my favorite game; it's pure fun. It never gets repetitive or cheap. It's the beat 'em up formula at its very finest, and you can be sure I'll do a review of it sometime as retro game of the week.

They did release it for the N64 in '99 under the name "Fighting Force 64." Possibly it was a better version, but I'm sure it was still pretty bad.

Caution: New Console Crossing

I waited in line with my brother and spent the night at Target in 2006 for a new Wii. I got my Wii on launch day and it's still working! Granted, every now and then it will do something wierd or freeze on me, but it's still going. It amazes me that no matter how much technology advances, these systems can still succumb to problems and break down. As for me, I'm gonna have to wait. To be honest, I want to get a Wii U. . . someday. I've got all the Nintendo consoles so far, and I love them all.

I think there's just too much involved for a 3D beat 'em up game; it can easily get confusing and frustrating. I would be surprised if there are ANY good 3D beat 'em up games. Developers need to just stick with the tried and the true.

Rocket Possums and Vampires

That Rocket Knight game looks great (it brings back memories of Sparkster, I'll have to play it again). It's good to see a great game (series, I guess) get revived!

It looks like that Bloodrayne game took a lot of inspiration from Castlevania (the fighting and the music). Looks cool.
