So many choices!
I'm so far behind on reading blogs With all the blogging I did for BaD and then working some overtime and being sick (and having a sick family) for a week or two, I haven't done too much more than post a blog and go to bed most nights lol. I'm hoping to go back and reach a bunch of them, like your games of your life blogs. There are just so many...
I played Symphonia on the GameCube, though I didn't finish it. The battle system never clicked with me. I enjoyed the other aspects of the game though.
February was a decent month for me. I finished two games and made it all the way through BaD, and I resorted to posting a picture as a filler blog only once! I didn't get to play as much as I'd hoped, but all those blogs took up a lot of time. I don't think there's anything in March that I'll be getting right away, but I made quite a few purchases in the last couple weeks, so I'm covered on stuff to play, that's for sure.
Aside from conventions like PAX, I think anyone who lived outside of Japan was out of luck
I'm sure if you emulated on your computer, you could still get all the extra stuff. The internet, that's gaming's preservation institute lol
I haven't played any DQ game yet but from what I hear, IX is as good a place to start as any. The DS remake of IV is super expensive now too
I can't imagine too many people are using those services anymore but it's still sad to see them go, especially for the DS. I think that one was a little better implemented and used.
The thing that ruined Diddy Kong Racing for me was that you couldn't really beat it unless you collected everything. I finally got to Wiz Pig and beat him, which was really hard, and then afterwards he just showed back up and chased us all away because I hadn't collected all the doodads. Left a sour taste in my mouth. Technically, though, it's a very solid racer.
I still quote Clayfighter 63 1/3 too. Tons of great one liners
