Should I be surprised at this point? I swear microsoft is the first suicidal company I've ever seen on this scale. I was already confident pcs could easily be tricked out to surpass the Xbone. This just confirms my hypothesis,really. (Of course MS has monopolized on operating systems so even if you get a pc you support them UNLESS you go linux.)

Totally agree. I've gotten a lot of joy out of Steam & GOG. I'm hoping MS will "fix" much of what is wrong with their service package because it would be a sweet deal if they didn't try so hard to dick us over at the same time.

Nope. I'd almost understand if I came at him "prison rules style" whilst giving him the digital finger but I was rather polite. (Though I was disagreeing with him.)

If you look at those videos on youtube he did get down voted a lot. Maybe he was just feeling the pressure of that,Blake.

But playstation plus is less restrictive and intrusive. (For the time being. lol. Oh Sony, I know you can be so sly!) The only bone I had to pick with the PS4 is needing PS+ to play online multiplayer but considering all the free games and betas offered it's not too much of a sacrifice. (Especially if you're like me and used to paying Xbox-live gold membership anyway. That and I'm not huge into online multi-player in the first place.)

The point is with the PS4 & Wii U I still own my physical copies and can do what I want with them. Yes, some publishers/studios will insist on their own DRM practices but luckily I have the choice of other publishers/studios too.

I concur,the systems are much alike. But I have to side with the consoles giving me the most consumer friendly rights.

 Besides, Steam & GOG didn't kill cds and blurays. I don't understand why "all digital" is seen as the sole gaming medium in the future. Sure, it "could" be. But only if the consumer masses let it be.

 I am hoping the Xbox one drastically changes. Without all the consumer restrictions,online check ups,DRM, possible NSA spy gadgetry,region locking,indie game publishing fees,loophole allowing MS to change policies at any time, and attempt at select retailer monopolizing it's a great gaming center! (Though as it is now it becomes a plastic paperweight when no longer supported online)

I found this out when trying to respond to his second video.  (By law a youtube moderator would have had no reason to remove my reply. It was rather polite & vanilla. No spicy offensive vocabulary was used in my post.)

I also agree this is a consumer war as opposed to a console war. I have no problem with gamers buying X-box-ones so long as they wait until microsoft changes its' evasive anti-consumer/anti-privacy bullshit.

It is, Tami. My response to him was mild sauce. Didn't call him a single name. I just said things like "Now you've seen E3 what are your thoughts now?" and "Sometimes mobs are misguided but other times the people have good reasons to be upset as a collective whole."

Game of thrones wrapped up for good or is it just the end of the season,mate? I ask because the book series it's based on is still ongoing....

That's good to know,Pete. I think gamers should stick to their guns until microsoft eases off on their policies. MS should also work on ensuring that their newest console will not become a useless plastic paperweight after it's no longer supported online.
