Firstly, welcome...

In light of the recent Nintendo Direct, I had been thinking about how much I loved my GBA and DS, but the 3DS has been somewhat of a disappointement for me.  None of the announcements today appealed to me...  ...  ...  I blame the Vita at this point.

I do have some very fond memories of growing up with Nintendo handhelds.  I remember a road trip from NY state back home to IL that I sat down with Metroid II and beat it for the first time in one sitting.  I was quite proud of myself...  I also remember multiple times where I would play through Metroid Fusion back to back to back to back to back, trying to shave off a minute or two from my play time.

I remember picking up a pink DS Lite because I really wanted to play Yoshi's Island DS and pink was all that Target had at that moment, and to me Yoshi's Island was more important than the color.

I remember when we got a PSOne, or at least have the important details down.  I want to say that it was the year of the PS2 launch, or maybe it was the Dreamcast.  Either way, my oldest brother got a PSOne for cheap from a friend and gifted it to us, the younger siblings with some NBA game, A Bug's Life and a demo disc...  I cannot beleive how much time I spent with A Bug's Life or that demo disc.  The only demo disc I spent more time with in my life was the one that had Ratchet and Clank:  Going Commando on it. 

Also, know that I remember that Bioshock and Mass Effect came out in 2007, I may have to reevaluate my inital Chrono Crossing choice.  It looks like that extra time will be well utilized.

Also, I would have them publish AM2R or whatever it's called on 3DS and Wii U.

And now they have apparently changed their stance on porting the trilogy to PS4 and XBOne.  They really are just trying to piss people off, aren't they?

I want to say Wild Arms 3.  Same with the original Wild Arms, with high caliber games in the Final Fantasy series really stealing their thunder.

Stage Select:

I want Nintendo R&D1, and they would make Metroid 5...  a followup to Fusion and none of this crap of inserting games into the timeline.

I totally agree.  I can't believe that it had taken such a long time to realize that length does not indicate quality...  when it comes to games.

I just looked up FF VII on How Long to Beat and it says 39 hours for the main storyline.  I wonder if that is why I haven't touched the PS4 release of that game.

I could have sworn that my very first run was 40+ hours, so I was more than a little surprised.  Also, I have played the first half of that game so many times that I know it by heart and did not waste anytime whatsoever until I had to go back and get Ayla.

Stage Select:  Buster Sword from FF VII.  Dubstep Gun from Saints Row IV.  Sheepinator from Ratchet and Clank.

I looked up Chrono Trigger on How Long to Beat and it said 25 hours.  I had it finished in 18.  I was so happy when that happened....  in regards to game lengths.
