I need to check out my local goodwills now. Hope they haven't been cleaned out yet given the news. I'm sure many would disagree and try to say Call of Duty brought the rise of military shooters.

that's amazing to hear that a Ghost Recon game translated well onto the 3DS. Seeing what I knew about Ghost Recon on consoles that's quite a feat. makes me wish I had a 3DS to give it a shot myself to see if it holds out against GRAW.
that's pretty much me in a nutshell when it comes to Tom Clancy right now. Gripping but for the life of me I can't recall it. I'd say try out the older spliter cell titles. There is an HD re-release of those titles on the newer systems. Ghost recon and Rainbow six is more squad based though I hear Rainbow six took a more FPS route in later games.
thanks for the kind words and I'm sorry you had to hear it from me. I only mentioned the life experiance portion because of an old english professor in my college class that said only works based on real life experiance could be considered classics. Charles Dickens and the rest. I have to disagree myself and only time will tell if Tom Clancy can fit this role. I hope he does.
yes! Yes! Yesh! this is perfect! A fitting beginning to this octoberween. makes me wish we could see an HD re-release of the three games of the series on XBLA/PSN. I already own the first game off the PC engine via Virtual console.

I'd stick with the third option myself. No real reason why, just warmed up to them better than the other two when I saw them.
I still want all of those galaga games on my XBLA account. Need to start up some friendly rivalries!
I usually avoid playing with others online due to the nature of their ugliness. I've only had one excellent run-in with strangers on halo 3 but the rest I'd rather play with allies on my friends list.
I am still on big game sites but it's mostly for the blogging. If I do comment on something i'tll be on other peoples blogs. Though IGN is trying to fix their environment of nasty comments on their stories sounds to me it's not quite working like they hoped.
Sounds like a good time to break them out this octoberween month! I'mw ith you on the Killzone issue. I've only played the first title and lost that game soon after. not sure if you'll be missing much with killzone PSP since it's so radically different.
