I know what you mean. Days were longer when I was a kid. 30 hour days, maybe? That must be it...
Lol. Seeing the witch run is just hilarious
Vector looks really cool! I'll add it to my wish list of iOS games lol. I thought about getting Fortune Street last week when in GameSpot but it was more than I wanted to spend And I'm not surprised that Spart Assault made the jump from Android to XBLA. Microsoft could make a killing by releasing it for iOS but that would be like admitting defeat lol.
I love the dreamlike quality it seems to have. Helps lend it a certain timelessness. Our industry needs more games like this. Given the title, I was expecting some sort of tie-in or allusion to Alice in Wonderland. I'd definitely like to experience this at some point.
Looks like a good list, Cary! I really enjoyed the first two Uncharted games (haven't played the third one yet) and I'm sure I'd gush about Valkyria Chronicles if I'd played it lol. At least I have it.
It's hard to remember which games that I played this year are exactly from this year lol. BioShock Infinite for sure. That game isn't perfect but it's so polished and the story is so good! I'd also recommend HarmoKnight, the downloadable 3DS rhythm platformer from Game Freak. It's a little short but is a blast while it lasts and has superb music. Lots of fun.
No worries, Matt. I do hope you'll play it. Just trying to save you a little money lol
We have a Wii U, which definitely has the best games right now (Mario 3D World, Pikmin, Wonderful 101, etc.). We'll get a PS4 in a year, probably, and maybe an X1 two or three years after that. We'll see. My 3DS, though, has seen a ton of use this year and I foresee that continuing indefinitely. That's a great piece of hardware.
I don't know. I enjoyed Lords of Shadow as a game but it wasn't a good Castlevania game. I recently played the Mirror of Fate demo and was really underwhelmed by that. I don't think the LoS combat works as well on a 2D plane and it lacked all the personality that permeated the IGA portable games. I'd buy Mirror of Fate if it was cheap enough (it'd have to be pretty cheap) but I'd buy the first Game Boy Castlevania game, which everyone agrees is terrible, if I found it cheap enough. I hope Mercury Steam nails that Castlevania feeling in LoS 2 but I'm not hopeful.
