I still need to play uncharted collection.
Sounds like a cool show.

I've never read it or Animal Farm. I only read Fahrenheit 451 and Brave New World out of HS and college obligation, respectively.
I read Hunger Games because the movie came out on my birthday or close to it that year (2012, think?).
And tbh Slaughterhouse Five isn't a dystopian novel so much as ... Weird. And anti-war and revolving around Dresden by way of aliens and time travel. So ... Weird.
That part I buy, since cats come from hell. Not so sure about them following directions and walking in a straight, single-file line.
P.S.
I love cats, but come on. If anything, they'd be riding those humans.
That's an interesting way to read an author's work; in an anthology in chronological order; so you can see the improvements.
I finished Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut on my last work trip and am just past the first chapter of Sinclair Lewis's (whom I keep wanting to call Lewis Sinclair) It Can't Happen Here. Half-Price Books has all these new, re-covered editions of old dystopian classics on sale, because ... Well, honestly, take a wild guess why the books I'm reading and George Orwell's classics are popping up so prominently gain. Lol
I've only rented MEA and thought it seemed fine, but sent it back cause I could tell it would take a while to really get into and I wanted to play other games.
Never played Halo 5.
I'm going with MEA as the better game because jetpacks.
I forgot about Jam! Reminds me of Chun-Li.
Oh, they were definitely campy. That's honestly a big part of their charm for me though.
And yeah, the newest isn't really a standalone. I pretty much like but don't love all of them, except for amazing 2. I have a soft spot for that one.
I thought the new Spidey was good, not great, and I've honestly felt more connected to previous ones, even the Amazing series.
It was a fun watch, but for me, it lacked a certain heart and charm factor the others had. It gets a lot of stuff right, but there's plenty that annoys me as well.
Well, I'm sure they've been around, but I think they've become more ubiquitous.
I wish a lot of characters we mentioned were in my vanilla Xrd. Only May is, I think.
I wasn't watching that medley earlier only because on my feed, it was all about the reactions to it by political officials and I'm just not that interested in dissecting every damn comment or physical gesture of a person no matter how I feel about them. But the music is good. Lol
I hope you get over your cold quickly. I gave myself fat ...
I watched the first episode of The Handmaid's Tale today and I'm not sure it's my thing. Depressed whisper voiceovers in dystopian settings are overdone imo. But with all the Emmy noms and since Hulu already charged me for the month, I'm willing to give it a shot.
I can't get into single issue comics. I did buy an Aquaman one for like 10c before Hastings shut down, but that 10c was why. I love Batman and want to read long Halloween, but i get annoyed by how DC milks that character, where I think Marvel has their stories more evenly spread out.
I actually got The House of Gold and Bones graphic novel I ordered from Half Price Books, which is written by Corey Taylor (Stone Sour/Slipknot) and illustrated by a couple other people, so I'm excited to read that. I just finished The Overture and I'm intrigued by the setting so far.
I'm honestly surprised Armstrong is still marketable enough to have a podcast like that, but then all it takes is a mic and an opinion. I was annoyed with him for reasons beyond sports, but I'm glad you're enjoying the podcast; always fun to hear passionate people discuss their passions, in any case.
I think I'll still be wearing Hydrograd out this weekend, but the work trip to OK, MO, and AR this week had me listening to classic rock in the van. Think I'll learn Peace of Mind by Boston on guitar.
I still need to see that Ghostbusters movie and Fantastic Beasts. I saw the book at HPB the other day, but forgot it was a literal collection of fictitious beast descriptions ... Think I may have gotten that as a kid, actually. Or maybe one about Quidditch rules?
Of course in n out is in that picture. Lol I had culvers in MO and really wish one was closer to my house. TECHNICALLY there are some 30 mins away, but that doubles in Dallas traffic, especially with all the construction.
I remember seeing Total Recall on Netflix I think it was, at least the first part. So many classics I still need to see, like Alien and Blade Runner.
I kinda want to see those James Bond Hot Wheels now.
