Dragons Dogma 101 ways to die.........

Posted on 03/04/2013 at 03:04 AM | Filed Under Blogs

I had a mage in my party to enchant my weapons, bows and swords, which made combat easier. The game is a bit hard at the beginning when you venture outside the city. You just have to have the right party and pick away at the nearest enemies to level up.  I still think leveling is easiest when you complete quests. There are missions available in the capital at the Inn, Pub, Pawn house. There are some posted in that training camp where you fight the hydra thing. Then you have to keep checking for more quests after you've completed them. So that's my advice. Mage for enchantments, do easy quests, slowly pick away at surrounding enemies. Also, learn and add combat skills at the Inn. They help your combat a lot. If you have a warrior there's an abilitiy that allows you to carry more weight. It's very useful. But I don't think any role can have tha ability.

Operation Darkness bad reviews but a great game

Focusing on Dragons Dogma

One minor gripe about this game is that mission quests are a bit vague sometimes. You will have to decide which quests to prioritize in which order later in the game to make the most of your time, so you should take time to explore the map to become familiar with it. There will be marks setup on your map, and it may seem blocked at first, but then you'll find the way by exploring. I tried not to look at any guides on line.

I suggest stacking up on quests because they give you the most gold and experience and they will also be far and wide separated by space on the map.

That "thing" at the bottom of the well confused me too. I didn't realize I had to run away. As far as pawn choices, I kept pawns that were in my level at zero cost, or if I was going some place far, over night, I spent extra money renting a higher level pawn just in case.

I have this game on iPad. It's really great! I play some other card games on iPad and I prefer playing these types of games on tablet because I think it feels more intuitive and natural. I think there is a free on line version for PC. I should play with you some time.

On another note, I have a "real" pack of cards on my desk and buying booster packs  is also part of the "real" experience.

A Castlevania Revelation

Pleased to see Castlevania fans here!Cool

My biggest regret was selling my DS Lite. I have a ton of GBA games that I can't play now since I can't find my gamecube which also had the GBA player attached. I could go the ROM way, but I like having the proper hardware really. Aria of Sorrow is my favorite game. I also like the stage-by-stage games like Dracula X on Wii Virtual Console.

PN03 deserves a sequel.  I don't think there's a market for it, Anime-Robot-Shooter? I would still like to see it.
