I do like some subscription services but it sounds like Sony's plan has promise but after checking it out, its only available in a handful of cities. Other services seem like a better deal at this time.

I remember seeing Shantae on sale in a couple of places, and I can't remember if I bought it. Xenodrifter sounds cool, especially if its not as difficult as NES Metroid (stupid stacking bombs to reach a high section).

2003? Oh, Let Me See. . .

I heard something about it and right after I read your reply last night I saw the spot on TV about the Ravens vs the Mike Vick led Steelers.

Oh 2003. I bought the last copy of Madden 2004 at Best Buy on the PS2. I had it in my hands right as I heard another customer ask about it. I think this was the year when you could import your NCAA Football rosters into Madden. Mike Vick was scary good in this game.

I liked Get Rich or Die Tryin'. I remember downloading a random 50 mixtape from a random European website, liked some songs, and then had the "hey I know him" moment when In Da Club hit the radio.

I didn't read Di Vinci Code until after the movie was released.

Usually I'm not a fan but I really like this game. Maybe this enthusiasm will transfer over to other games. I really want to try that game that uses 80s toys.

Oh Puzzle Quest is coming to consoles? I used to play a lot of it on the Nexus 7, but haven't touched it in a year or so. I liked it but it was one of those games where it should be played without the freemium cap that many tablet games have.

That sucks man. Hopefully you get your hands on a copy.

I really can't say how long a level pack is because I really haven't played through an entire level (Simpsons or Portal) I know its one level, but there are items within the level that can be unlocked with characters with special abilities (the Wicked Witch from Oz unlocks silver items and Scooby Doo can dig out items) When looking at the trophies each Level pack has three trophies. Hopefully these levels are longer than the Batman 3 DLC.

Yep, I want to say NCAA 10 was the first game that offered it. It was a service online where you could upload your own logos (two max) and they could be placed on the uniform and helmet. There were like 40 different options each for jerseys, neck designs, pants, and helmet stripes. It is a cool feature that should be used with the NFL but I have a feeling the NFL blocked it.

If it was a stand alone game I think it would do well. It plays like a regular Lego game but the licenses make this game.

I haven't really been paying attention to football this season with the exception of the Eagles vs Cowboys. That was the first game I sat down and watched. Everything else has been bits and pieces. Its odd, I'm usually trying to watching as much as possible.

I get why we need those patches but damn they take so long. I wish I was able to download the patch before buying the game so if I'm on the fence about it I can download when I am out, get home pop in the disc and I'm good to go. I like those Retron consoles but I don't know if I'm ok with spending the $100 to get one.

Yeah the hidden micortransactions are not a good trend. I followed it with Disney Infinity and now with Lego Dimensions. At least with Lego if/when I get tired of this game I can add these figures and little sets to the Lego collection.

I'm hoping NFS will be good. The last NFS game I played on tablets were a lot of fun and my XP transfered over to the handheld and console games.

Digital Distribution and Metal Gear

The funny thing about digital games vs physical games for me is that I have no problem with digital games when it comes to tablet games (not the funky little endless runners, but games that are a couple of bucks for a full racing/adventure game); but when it comes to handhelds or console I'm still physical copy first, but I have been slowly moving towards digital. I don't think I'll ever go completely to digital but I do like the convience of being able to switch games without getting up.

I used a little bit of that right screen swipe on the iPad, I don't think its on the phone but I haven't tried. I only use iCloud to synce contacts, notes, and calendar. The free 5GB is more than enough space for that.

I can see that with traded players especially since when players are traded usual bulletpoints about the trades are usually "played in a similar scheme in college/former team" are highlighted. I think teams with good leadership will find players who can fit into their system.
