You've been pretty busy on the acquisition front, I see. Some good finds there.

Thank you for the PSA. I was looking at this game, but was unsure. Now I am sure I won't be buying it. I am experiencing enough frustration with the two games I'm currently playing, thank you very much.
I know what you're saying...broke my budget big time Monday evening - was supposed to be getting baby shower presents for my cousin and somehow I ended up at GameBox, purchasing their last copy of Tales of Xillia. New and shrink-wrapped. I am weak of will...
I tell people it's not so much a backlog as an insurance policy. I lived through the video game crash of the 80s, I like to keep my options open, lol.
If I try to play too many games at once, I end up with Gamer ADD and end up not finishing any of them. I'm trying to stick to one console game, one handheld game, and the casual games on my laptop that I use to relax my brain after work - Zuma, Bejeweled 3, and solitaire.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who buys more games than they complete in a month (or season, or year, or decade...). I've made some awesome finds at thrift stores. Two Sega Dreamcasts for the price of one, a working Game Gear with four games and a carrying case, an N64 with two controllers. I don't think I've ever scored any good games, though. I have better luck with a local music/movie/games/book store, they have everything and their prices for retro games are set, so it doesn't matter what the game is, it will be the same price as all the other games for that system. Last gen and this gen excepted, of course. I found Vagrant Hearts, Tales of Destiny, and SaGa Frontier 2 for about $10 a piece one fine day.
I thought of that abbreviation after I hit the post live button. I figured people would figure it out, though. And don't skip the down time. It keeps us sane and from waking up at 2:00 AM all clenched and feeling like we want to punch something. Been there, done that, too. That's the really great thing about my job - when I leave, the job stays behind. More or less. I have a tendency to critique trail building, people who don't pay their user fees, litterers, and dog leash law scofflaws...
Sidd, I have tried to suppress all memories of high school from about 30 seconds after I was handed my diploma. I am the wrong person to be giving any sort of advice, lol.
I am seriously thinking about buying a 2DS for myself. I can't see the 3D effects due to vision issues and as a frugal yankee born and bred, I just couldn't bring myself to buy something that had a feature I can't use as a major selling point. I think your godson will be very happy to have something cool that his older siblings haven't had first. Everybody deserves to be first for something.
Good to know some things never change .
