DMC is great, but I think the issue hardcore hans had with it is that it made complicated combat techiniques automated, whereas in 1 and 3, maybe also 4, you had to 'get good' and plan out your strategy more. 1 & 3 in HD collection feels very skill based focused plus 1 is like Resident Evil with a big castle to explore and 3 has creative enemies, bosses and set pieces in comparison to the brown tube filled with trash that is DMC2. Do you like hacknslash? I still love DMC 1 & 3, still good.

I'm doing a replay of the trilogy, but compared to 1 & 3, 2 seems like hallways filled with enemy fodder--no challenge and combat seems lacking. Also I've killed most early bosses with guns, while a boss shows up later as regular enemy with minions that feels lazy and cheap. I don't know. I should finish it firt, but its the weakest of the 3 for sure.

Being sandwiched between 1 & 3 in HD collection makes it stand out more. 

And now it's hot as fuck, so I will be spending more time outdoors. Also broke for games so I've been playing PS3 and F2P games on Steam as well. If there is a F2P game you want to co-op let me know so we can start a Broke As Fuck Guild. I don't have Elder Scrolls since there is no demo for it, I have no idea how it would run on PC. Been playing Devil May Cry HD collection on PS3. Also signed up for Revelation MMO, but it is only Early Access right now. Not sure if it will be F2P?

Actually, I used to use gamefly years ago. Its a good way for sampling NEWER games without crushing the wallet. Thing is, there are so many sales all the time already and I've been getting more into story driven strategy games on PC which you can't really rent or play on console. Been meaning to use Redbox since there is one at my local grocery store. 

Is gamefly any good for buying? I generally buy games from ebay, but I hate waiting for auction deadlines. There are so many sales on Steam and GOG and bundle sites that I just don't feel like I need more games from a rental site, and I already pay a subscription to netflix. 

Why dont you find outdoor or other hobbies. It's been raining for the last 3 months so I've been stuck at home most weekends/evenings so I'd be bored w/out games. I've also scheduled my gaming time so I don't get overwhelmed or bored from it. Usually play late at night for a bit before sleep or lazy weekends. I also like story games so it counts as reading in place of books so I don't feel bad. I avoid game sites in general aside from a couple and a few gamers on social media so I don't feel bad about missing out on "new shit". I don't have money for new consoles and seeing the media blitz from new zelda is making me feel sad and left out. Have you tried DIY home projects to keep you busy now that you have a new place? Also, part of the reason I enjoy your posts is because you generally direct me towards things that are worth trying and other people ignore. I'm sure Zelda is amazing, but seriously fuck off with the hype!

Yup. I bought Infamous Son on PS4 in recent flash sale and got completely bored very quickly. It's pretty as hell, but visuals don't make a game great. I'm sure there is some technical acheivements being made, but it all just feels like work. I actually like the kid and his little backstory, but got tired of running around. Also, it's trying to be a shooter with no real cover and melee is out of the question becaue I lack any real form of decent armor. I'm sure it's a 10-9-8, but a real snore for me. 

Your new neighborhood sounds great! Hope it is an upgrade from where ever you were before. I have a cultural bookstore in my neighborhood which has open mic nights with poetry n stuff and its a great place to hang out in. They also have writing workshops, bookclubs and such. I've never heard of this patch for skyrim. I'm interested in playing it now. A whole game in another game? Is this like how they put pokemon full game in minecraft? Hope to see more game stuff from you.

A Realm Reborn gives me everything I want from a FF game really. Beautiful open world, loads of job classes, epic boss fights, adventure, etc. The music is sublime and it has a lot of style and flair. As much as I like the classic fantasy setting, I've always liked the odd future-fantasy takes as well, like with 7,8,10, 13 and 15. It's been a while since a strategy game, since they are in fashion like xcom games, I'd like to see a sequel to Tactics. Also, we never really got the actual 'Versus' game that was much darker than the game we got-- I'd like to see some of that in playable form perhaps.
