My Game of the Year blog will go up sometime in January.  My GOTY may be a bit of a surprise, though.  Not what you might expect.  Care to take a guess?

The 5200 was technically my first gaming console.  Sure I played the 2600 and others at friends' and families' houses, but the 5200 was the first one I owned.  I got it for Crhistmas one year and I didn't even ask for it, so it was a total surprise.  Before then I played games on our Apple 2+ computer, which I was OK with since the games were better on that than the 2600 anyway.  The 5200 staved my desire to own a NES for about a year, as I was perfectly happy playing games like Pengo on it during the crash and games were cheap on it.

Another one that comes to my mind is the NES version of Gun.Smoke.  The arcade game was all right, but I loved the NES version and rented it a few times as a kid.  It's interesting to note that the Red Dead Redemption games have a VERY slight relation to the Gun.Smoke game.

I think I read somewhere that Saboteur was retooled into an A-Team game, starring Mr. T's head.

I'm working on my SNK collection blog right now.

I remember playing Fire Truck at a place called Crystal's Pizza.  Remember when people used to go to resturants and sit down and eat pizza?

LEGO Batman was fun, even if it was just LEGO Dimensions: The Movie.

Right now I'm working on an SNK 40th Anniversary Collection blog.  It's getting harder and harder to find the time to write these things.

I want to live in Arcade Town.  

At E3 last year, one of the companies making mini arcade cabinets had them on display with a Ken doll standing over one like he was playing it.

I put that Atari clasics collection on my Christmas list.  Gotta give the family some ideas to get me.

I'll have my Game of the Year Awards Show up sometime in January.  I'll have a surprise for my Game of the Year.  It may not be what you'd expect!

I actually have an ugly Christmas sweater I got on sale last year at GameStop after Christmas.  It has Super Mario World characters on it.

You must have played a lot of Tomb Raider back then.  The only Tomb Raider game I ever got into was Tomb Raider GO on my iPad.  Did you play that one?  It was a fun little puzzler.  I'd play more Tomb Raider games If they were more like Kirby. :)

I remember when they had a Ghostbusters version of Fruit Ninja, too!

Your pretend present is a life sized football stadium of your choice that you can build with LEGOs. Have fun with that for the rest of your life. :)
