This is the First Thing I Saw Today

I think if that Oculus Rift thing takes off people will become so immersed in games it will add to it. The emotional bond with characters will increase. If it seems like you're in the same room with them you then enter that world. Now that's art.

Jon Stewart had some great music guests on his talk show back when he was starting out.  I remember how Marilyn Manson nearly set fire to his set while performing a song called "Lunch Box".  I could not escape that Gin Blossoms song today. Heard it on the radio,at Best Buy,and then at the pawn shop while I was game shopping. And that was after I posted it. Very odd.

Super Nintendo Lives! How To Play Today

I saw one of those SupaBoys today at Vintage Stock. That thing looks very cool. But I think I'll get one of those Retron systems. Even if it doesn't play all the games it should be worth 70 bucks.

The first season won some awards, which surprised me. Good to know companies get some recognition for taking chances.

That part was a bit rough. It gets really good at the end, though. This game is definitely different.

Going Super Old School! Class of ‘66!

I remember that game Sea Wolf, with that periscope you looked through. I was pretty good at that one. And the film The Blue Max was awesome. When I was a kid I was fascinated with WWI flying aces like Eddie Rickenbacker. I built model planes of his and also the Red Baron. Those Fokker Tri-Planes were badass, got to give them some credit! Some of my favorite fighter video games are the one featuring WWI action in them.

Zoe Keating reminds me of Lindsey Stirling in a way. They both have such a unique approach to their instrument. And they make it so cool! That video of She & Him was good also. My favorite was the "Stoner Cam" view of Hank III playing live. Great deal on that game you found. I found a pawn shop today that was selling XBOX games for one dollar. Picked up Driver 3 and Fable. Just could not resist at that price.

When I travel I usually take my 3DS and Vita with me. I play them at night right before going to sleep. Funny how judgemental non-gaming family members could be. They give you the old "stink eye" at times? Weird thing is,sometimes folks like that play the crap out of games like Farmville. It seems like a bit of fluff to them. I've been wanting to try one of those Layton games on my DS. I love games like that that make you think.

Update 6/4/13: Long break, but I'm back now

I may reconsider and start a Facebook account. I suppose if I behave myself and don't start playing Farmville or something I should be okay. Now I just need a decent picture of myself to start off with.....

That whole geocache thing is interesting. It gets people outdoors and exploring parks by making it a challenge. Had no idea that amatuers were placing them about. My luck would be the one I was hunting would be hidden in a bear den! I'm going to see if Oklahoma has any of them.
