Yeah. Beyond is a really great Star Trek episode. Part of the reason is that Simon Peg wrote it and he's a huge sci fi nerd, so it got the tone of the show moreso than the first two films, which were more like Star Wars films to me. Actually, the political babble and diplomacy of the Jedis in the Star Wars Prequels 1-3 felt more Star Trek than Star Wars. And now I'm just rambling on because I don't know? I just want Star Trek to return to television and just be a good drama and leave all the action to Star Wars films.

Mass Effect was originally supposed to be a Star Trek game but Bioware couldnt get licensing so they created new IP. A lot of the art design and exploration with the Maco tank in ME1 was like doing away missions on Star Trek. It's funny because the new Star Trek films feel more like Mass Effect games than the original TV show. I'm a pretty big Trek fan, and I did like the last film, Beyond, because it felt more like a long 2-part episode of the TV show. You're right about you criticism, but it reminded me that Star Trek is better as a TV show than film.

The GC game is probably worth a lot of money. I know the Wii one is.

Actually you might be right about backstory. I played previous games and read the novels so I guess I didn't notice missing context and motivations. I've heard people bring this up before. I guess you could follow journal and do easiere quests first, before pushing forward.

I think Life Is Strange is really good! Also first season of Walking Dead TellTale. If you like story adventure games that require a bit more exploration and interactivity. Alsot Wolf Among Us is my favorite TellTale game. They go on sale fairly regularly since they are older games now. I liked King's Quest too. Very retro with current gen graphics.

I liked Axiom Verge a lot which is a mix of Metroid 1 exploration with Contra guns, if you liked either of those types of games.

It's supposed to be dark, like Twin Peaks or something. It starts off with a murder. I will start watching Archie now too. Maybe read the new comics as well. Seems like ppl are positive about the show. And I love dark mysteries.

Start a new game? I'd just keep going. There is way too much content in that game to start from scratch. Honestly, some of the best parts are side quests and monster hunts. The side quests can get pretty long and some have you traveling across the entire map. It is definetly one of my top 5 fav games of all time. It set a high bar for fantasy RPGs and side quest quality. Not to mention visuals.

I think it's because I dismissed most CW shows in general that I missed this one. I was probably too busy to keep a regular weekly scedule. On the surface it seems like a lot of CW shows are formulaic cheesy teen dramas aimed at girls. Also, the show aired before 'streaming video' was a thing and seeing how it's been on so long, I felt like I had too much to catch up on and the only way to really do that back then is buy DVD box sets, and you know what, I actually found a box set of the first season just now, so I must have watched and saw  something to trigger a purchase like that years ago. Also, my personal tastes are more defined now, and I love horror and spooky things that are done well. Anyway, as I'm watching the first season, 1 or 2 episodes every night, I just can't stop watching. I feel like I discovered something new and great! It also feels like an anime at times, like Full Metal Alchemist. Dean and Sams relationship is great, and they travel across the  midwest searching for clues to find their missing father. The midwest and rural America is a great setting for film and TV. I love the road trip aspect of it too. It's a bit cheezy at times, but overall it is very well done. I think it still stands up over time. The only thing that dates the show are flip phones and tech like that.

I watched Dory for the first time and I actually liked that it was more sad and depressing than just the usual overly happy Pixar movie. Zootopia is also very good in it's mirroring of real day politics. Very surprised about it as I was watching both for the first time. I want more of these type of movies from now on, next to the usual fantasy musical that Disney makes.

oh. Also, Sabrina might show up on Archie in the future. I think they added Josie, from the Pussycats recently.
