Not only did Activision Anthology feature a TON of games, it also had a soundtrack with a bunch of popular 80's songs, videos of old commercials and corporate material, and you could earn virtual high score patches.  Back in the day, if you earned a high score on certain games from Activision, you could take a picture of the screen and send it in for a real patch.  And you could earn them the same way in the anthology!  That collection rivaled the PSOne Namco Museums in terms of presentation.

I never got into Battlezone, but on one of the Atari collections they did actually include the version of Battlezone they used to train the military, and I thought that was neat.  Atari made a vector based game similar to Battlezone that I liked a lot better called Red Baron.

Tempest 4000 looked a lot like 3000 and 2000 to me, but I'm no expert.

Oh yeah, I definitely count mobile games as a viable gaming platform.  

I didn't try the Dissida or FFXV mobile games, but I am played the new Dissida fighter on PS4.  It looks awesome but so far I like the PSP Dissida games better.  I may write a blog about it at the end of the month, maybe.

If you are in a mobile gaming mood, might I suggest...maybe...Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp? :)

Mmmm, not really.  I played it again fairly recently and still enjoyed it.  I still think it's aged better than other classic beat 'em up like, say, Double Dragon.

I thought Final Fight has aged very well compared to some other beat 'em ups.  I still enjoy it for what it is.  I played it a lot in arcades.

Never played it.  Although there is a character in it named Burger Dog, so I've always been interested.

Jeff Minter is working on Tempest 4000.  I played it at PAX West.

I hear the Tempest arcade machine is a pain in the butt to maintain.

I have a Genesis Flashback, the emulation on it is HORRIBLE!

My favorite Atari collection is the Activision Anthology on PS2.  Have you ever tried that one?
