It's a hard toss up between those two. I've always loved the Bioshock games but compared to their predecessor System shock 2 they're a bit on the short and linear side. Tombraider is yet another good franchise but this is the game that's going to change Lara & the way she adventures a lot.
Personally, I'd go with Tombraider as I think that would be a more robust game. However, Bioshock Infinite looks amazing!

I'm right there with you, Matt. It was 1up's community that made it special. Honestly, I can get "mainstream game news" anywhere I want. But very few places nurture creativity, true passion towards gaming minus the bullshit, and general goodwill for fellow human beings.
Sure, maybe IGN would have gotten me more "page hits" but it's the quality that matters to me, not the quantity. I'm just so happy most of my friends came here!
My only regret is I wasn't involved with pixlbit sooner. I posted as a "guest" but I didn't make an account until 1up's destruction forced me to. Hopefully that doesn't create any resentment with other pixlbit-ers. In my case it was simply difficult to divide my time up between multiple sites. I really wasn't trying to be a snob. lol.

Not a bad tribute considering it's free though I admit a password system would make this almost perfect for me! Maybe one of the updates will remedy this predicament?
I still have to play the first Corspe Party. (Which looked very good) I'm actually making my own game using RPGMaker VX ace. It has some horroe elements but it's mostly an rpg!
Normally I'd dive right into this one but as you already mentioned, it assumes I have played the first game. (Which I have yet to do)

1up wasn't a piece of shit. Take it back or I'll INTERNET RAGE, bro! Jk, Blake. lol. For me it was the people at 1up that made it great. The site itself was gradually falling behind. (Even if much of the articles were still good.)
As for you Brian, I hope this can be a fresh new start. Personally I think you pegged many of us wrong though. Most of us didn't blog due to egotism. We blogged to stay in touch with friends and talk about what we loved as gamers. I don't see how that is "horrid" or a waste of time but you're entitled to your opinion.
(On my end I do occasionally get flattered when I notice I have a lot of page hits & activity but at the same time that was never my be-all goal.)
