I'm sure I will go back from time to time on the PC, but with so many of my friends gone it won't be the same. With that said, there are definitely some things I'd still like to do in FF XI.

It's a weird feeling. I'm moving right now, and I grabbed the 360 case to pack and realized that it is now a completely useless disc. I am only keeping it as part of my comprehensive Final Fantasy collection.

It is well documented that I am not a social person, and that goes double in video games. But there was something about the community of Final Fantasy XI that drew me in. I shared so much with the people I became friends with in that game, and I learned so much about them in return. Maybe part of the appeal was the need to use a keyboard to communicate. I am more inclined to interact when I have time to think about what I want to say before I say it.

Goddamn spammers. I thought Nick had squashed them.

Ugh. Necro, Twelve, Q, Urien are, in my opinion, some of the worst character designs Capcom ever came up with. They don't feel like Street Fighter characters. They feel like rejects from Darkstalkers.

We'll just have to agree to disagree on SF III and IV. I tried as hard as I could to get into III, but the overall slowness, difficult to learn parry system, and the atrocious character designs completely turned me off. Like I said, Super SF IV is one of my all-time favorites in the series with an excellent cast of characters and an easy to pick up but deep fighting system.

Mad Catz was synonymous with garbage when I worked in retail, but they have really stepped up their quality since they got the official arcade stick deal for SF IV. Iove my stick for the PS4, and as you'll hear in episode 83 it is easy to mod, which I will be looking into very soon.

I lost Azura about halfway through, which definitely changed things quite a bit for me. My big gun is Setsuna the archer, but I have to keep her covered since she's squishy.

I think that's a distinct possibility. Symphony of the Night definitely informed the way a lot of developers structure their games. It's also something that builds on From Software's older games. The Souls games have some shared DNA with the King's Field series, which was another game that kind of just plopped you in a world and said "go".

I am scared/looking forward to Conquest. I will probably wait a bit to play it, because Birthright kind of consumed me.
