Yeah I have also been considering a 360 for it's exclusives,lol. But my hatred of all things microsoft sits on my shoulder and berates me for having such sacreligious thoughts. 
Yeah not all that excited yet either. If I make any upgrade it will be to a PS3 with a 500g HD. I running out of room and I have a feeling they might get a little cheaper after the PS4 drops.
The season pass overall is worth it. The first three Campaigns were not as good as they could have been but Tiny Tina makes up for them. Still its a lot of stuff to do and plenty of great uniques in the dlc.I might cough up the 3 bucks for T.K. Baha head hunt tommarrow. Still on the fence.
I have been wanting to get this version of Okami for a while, was waiting for the price to go down. Hopefully got enough room on my harddrive for it, but I will get it one way or the other. Its a really good game and I feel it was very under rated.

Those are pretty slick. I have all the Mc Farlan figures from the first game. I don't really collect anymore, just don't have the room for them, lol. Maybe once I get settled in a house of my own I will start again.
Lol, that would actually be good for me, only paid $12 for my copy of 3 Dot. Its almost like books that go out of print only trickier because you have to have the hardware to play them too.
I have learned the hardway it is best to hang on to those older games and systems. There are a lot of PS1 and PS2 games that I wish I still had. Some because I know I would appretiate them more now that I did when I was younger and some because they are super freaking rare and sell for stupid amounts of money,lol. I still have a lot of great games for both of those systems, hell I still have my one and only PS1 I bought back in 1997 and it still works. I'm on my third PS2 and bought a back up for it via Amazon a few months back. I don't see anyone making bootleg reverse engineered PS1/PS2 retro boxes anytime soon.
That PSP deal is pretty tempting. But I hardly play my ds lite anymore as it is so its kind of hard to justify buying another handheld. Although it does have a lot of sweet exclusives. Damn this temptation thing is contagious. But your on the right track, gotta focus on priorities, those thing will only get cheaper anyway. I am guessing this government shut down thing has put you in the wringer. Sorry to hear that. But yeah hitting the back log is always good option. Had an attack of nostalgia and started playing FFVII again. I blame it on listening to the Other Worlds concert cd I got about a week ago. The first track is the into to...you guessed it FFVII,lol. I'm on the same page. I read an article several months back talking about the new Unreal engine that most next gen games will be made with and run on and there will be a handfull of grphical improvements and effect thet will be pretty impressive. But the real meat of it was on the development side making it easier for game developers to streamline the process and cut out a lot of tedious labor. The real possible benifit here is next gen games that at the least won't get anymore expensive to make. But yeah I'm not really seeing anything that is realing pushing the bar like in previous generations.
