I enjoy the hidden quality of the Painted World in Dark Souls and the optional boss fight with Priscilla. The gameplay and battle itself isn't what's so superb about it, but more the lore behind it and the fact it exists. I felt pretty bad killing her, her backstory and the possibilities of how she came to be are interesting, and she's not a villian by the looks of it.

Mecha Hitler? I'm in.

I'm excited for the new game, excited to dual weild, excited to fight Nazis and see some weird retro sci fi stuff happen. Some of the screenshots are pleasantly surprising because it's not always a cold gray pallete. Some of the screens have a warm bright pallete to them that's reminiscent of Bioshock Infinite. There's trees and autumn colors. There's color and at least some visual variety in the game which is a nice thing to contrast with the dark narrative of seeing the results of Nazis having conquered America, as well as their twisted experiments.

Larry has anybody ever told you that you should be a heavy metal radio DJ or run a radio station? I don't even listen to music on the radio anymore, we have this cool comedy station here in my area of Colorado where they play audio clips of standup comics 24/7 so I listen to that anytime I'm in the car. But as far as music goes radio here is often useless. There's a radio station here that plays death metal for a little while late at night on Saturdays but that's really halfass and it's the only variety they offer and it's only for an hour.

You listen to a huge diverse variety of metal and you are always discovering new bands and showing me new stuff as well as old stuff. Always ready to talk metal. If you ran a radio station that played all metal all the time, old school stuff and new school stuff all mixed together like you do, I'd tune in to that any time, any day of the week.

No, you're number one in my book lol!

That's pretty cool. Did Dunwall look or feel any different aesthetically when you played that at Quakecon? I don't know what the new DLC is all about and what the premise is so I'm all ears.

Master of Puppets was the first cd I bought with my own money, it was back in elementary school and I used allowance money I guess. The Walmart person didn't care that they were selling a cd with the explicit label to a minor so I was able to get it without any problem. I still have that very cd, but it's not in as good of shape as your casette is lol. It's scratched and inside a binder collection now, the jewel case is gone, and the booklet is in a shoebox. I'll never get rid of my very first Master of Puppets, even if it's in bad shape.

Cool, that's what I was hoping for. It's a smart idea to have those AIs with you when you're alone, and get rid of them once you have at least one other player. Everything about the game sounds real interesting.

Back in highschool there was this LAN gaming center in the mall here where we could go in and play games like Counterstrike and Halo 2 with projectors, big screens, and couchs lining up and down the place. The business didn't stay open long but we went in a played some Counterstrike a few times before it closed, lots more Halo 2 by comparison. I wasn't very good with the no aim assist then either. I also played a lot of Rainbow Six on the N64 (one of the first few FPSs I probably ever played) and I don't think that had aim assist but it was a lot of fun at the time.

I like the focus on gameplay and level layout. It says 1-16 players, is it possible to play offline singleplayer? It sounds like it would be much tougher to do these missions alone but I wonder if they'll let you.

Having no aim assist is something I'd have to get use to again, it's been a long time since I've played shooters without aim assist. I'd genuinely suck at this game but I think it sounds awesome.

Those are fighting words Travis, I'M a bigger Dishonored fan and I'm EVEN MORE excited that this version will bring new players in!

I give up, you're the biggest Dishonored fan I know lol. I'm doing my 2nd playthrough, and I haven't touched any of the DLC yet so I think I'd be willing to buy the complete edition to get all of it at once. I'd end up with a copy of the game I don't need but it'll be nice to support Arkane and Bethesda even more for their work on a game I really enjoy.

A Quick Look at QuakeCon

Oh man I forgot about The Evil Within. That's the most interesting horror game I've seen in a while and it looked okay at E3. Or at least it sounds really interesting. Shinji Mikami is saying all the right things and the ideas they have for the game sound great.
