Hallo-Fucking-Ween Bitches!

Posted on 11/01/2016 at 08:47 AM | Filed Under Blogs

Oh man, I need to rewatch The Babadook. That was an absolutely astonishing movie. I haven't watched The Witch yet, but I have it. We were going to watch it on Halloween but it seemed like more of a slow build suspense film, and those aren't great when you just want some silly frights.

I need to get around to finishing Ash Vs The Evil Dead. I've only seen the first 4 episodes, but I hope to remedy that soon.

Halloween!

Unfortunately, I somewhat know the feeling. I suffer with depression myself, and in one of my darkest periods I went from 52kg (114 pounds) to 89kg (196.211 pounds) due to not looking after myself and stress eating.

It can be incredibly difficult to get back to how you were, especially if you aren't happy with yourself and don't feel like you can. However, it's not impossible. I've lost a decent amount of weight, and even though it has been tremendously difficult, it definitely feels worth it.

Thankfully, your boyfriend sounds great, so hopefully that support network helps out a lot, and even if you aren't able to get back to where you were, if he makes you feel good about yourself again, that's what's really important.

I will definitely endeavour to tune in for the Extra Life event, though due to our time zone differences I don't know how much I'll be able to tune in for. I'll certainly try though.

Finally, Devil Summoner: Overclocked is a game I keep meaning to get around to but keep forgetting about. Is it any good?

Until Halloween

Until Dawn is fucking awesome. Glad you enjoyed it. I need to get around to finishing it though since I lent it to a friend and haven't got it back yet.

Spooky Reviews!

I really like reading your reviews, especially with the kid factor section at the end. I don't really know why I enjoy reading the kid factor section, I just do.

Axiom Verge is great, but I found the second half made things a little too navigationally complex, which is odd since I'm usually alright at navigating in these types of games.

I've had Noitu Love 2 for a while and I feel really stupid that I didn't notice that it was Evolution backwards. I love treasure games, but this one left me cold. I think I just couldn't really enjoy the combat system. On pc, you fight with the mouse by pointing at your enemies. I'd much rather use my PS4 controller or use normal attacks than the method it uses.

So Sad.

Oh man, play more! I did the same, and then Bilby forced me to play the rest. Glad I did, but man, the feels are strong with this one.

So Sad.

Do it! How far through did you get?

So Sad.

Same. Which is probably why we hated the ending haha. No, I don't think the ending really worked, but goddamn did I love everything else about it.

Yeah I know they're not all the same, it's just the kind you see most. Probably because they're the most vocal.

By interface, I just meant general UI. Navigating menus and settings seem really unintuitive. Maybe it's not for Nintendo fans, but from someone on the outside, both the Wii-U and 3DS are a clusterfuck to navigate.

And yeah, honestly your right. Again, despite appearances, I don't hate Nintendo. I really don't. It's just that Nintendo fans on other sites drive me so far up the fucking wall I just feel like pointing out they aren't perfect even if it is just venting for my own sanity.

Nah. Just got something to talk about for once, plus I don't understand how Nintendo fans will jump on things other companies do but turn a blind eye when Nintendo does similar things.

More In Depth Thoughts on the Switch

The reason 2D Mario sells so well is because it's easier to understand. Nintendo has a problem selling 3D Mario because it's harder for non gamers to pick up and play, which is why Super Mario Galaxy 2 came saddled with an insulting dvd tutorial on how to make mario move and jump.

And I disagree that 3D Mario doesn't work. While SMB3 is my favourite Mario game, Super Mario Galaxy 2 is a very close second. World... really doesn't hold up as well on repeat playthroughs.
