MGSV is pretty damn great, easily has the best gameplay in the series. Should last me until Fallout 4. 

Well that's the thing, those two scenarios are apples and oranges

I never take "This is the best in the series" that literally. I get they're just saying in their opinion this is the peak. It just flows a lot better than "This is my favorite in the series" for some reason.

That said, I still hate reading that because it's obvious that the hype machine's doing its work and doing it well. We don't get real opinions until at least a month or two later.

Don't forget Pokemon: Red and Blue. Amazing how so many revolutionary games and start of so many huge IPs all happened in one year.

I don't put any stock in these rumors. I remember in 2005 whrn people were saying the Revolution  (now known as the Wii) wouldn't have the D-pad or A and B buttons. Fast forward a few months and that's pretty much all they kept on the Wiimote

Wobuffet would actually be a really interesting choice. Only being able to attack through countering would make for one really unique fighter while Wynaut could be the same theory applied to a support Pokemon. And Wobuffet is hardly useless competitively, the thing was actually banned in the GBA games in the games where Mewtwo and company were allowed.

Snorlax could always make the cut. I'm willing to bet they'll add more fighters since we're only at ten if you count two Pikachus.

I could be in as a guest every now and then. You can also talk to Nick and try to figure out another podcast to do. Also if you want, Backloggers Anonymous may need a sub in the future. If you're interested I'll keep you in the loop

I really love this game, but feel it gets worse every time I replay it. The large text is fun the first playthrough because it's a good mystery, but once I know the story, it gets tedious. That's why I prefer Zero Mission. Gets right down to it and lets you explore at your own leisure.
