You might actually like Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer because it doesn't run on a real world clock like New Leaf does.
I counted and I beat about 16 games this year. I don't think that's too bad.
I got an email from GameStop that 1/9 in Skylanders Day. I didn't read any more than that, but you might want to check it out to see if that would be something you would be interested in.
Yeah, I described Skylanders in all my reviews of the series that it's like a cross between Gauntlet and a LEGO game, so I'm glad others agree.
I don't think Skylanders will be going away anytime soon, though. They've had a freaking balloon in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade for two years now, and the franchise makes more money for Activision than Call of Duty.
I also think Skylanders is better than Disney Infinity. While Disney Infinity has lots of cool and recognizable characters, the strict rules that Disney has for those characters ruins the game a bit. You can't use characters from other worlds in a certain Disney area for instance. So The Incredibles can't go into the Pirates of the Carrbbean world. You can only have all the characters in the "Toy Box" which is just the game's hub world. They even specify that in the commercials now. But with Skylanders and LEGO Dimensions, you can switch out any character at any time, and I think that's the charm of the 'toys to life' genre and why Skylanders and LEGO Dimensions get it 'most right.'
OK sorry to go off like that. But since I've reviewed all the Skylanders games, I consider myself somewhat of an authority on them. By the way, some of the 3DS Skylanders games let you jump.
If I had the materials, knowhow, and money, I think my Game of the Year blog would make a neat podcast. But I don't have that stuff so I'll just make do with a blog! Check it out if you get a chance and haven't already!
I wonder if KH3 will really even come out this year?
I bet you'll like it!
I didn't know Pokemon Shuffle was available for phones. Most free-to-play phone games always have to be connected to the Internet to play, but I don't think it does on the 3DS. Just some special events require a connection.
I didn't buy anything for myself over Christmas, but I did get a PS Vita as a present as well as Tales of Zestiria.
There's one on 3DS coming out later this month called Final Fantasy Explorers. Looks like FF does Monster Hunter. I'm not sure what kind of game Final Fantasy World is going to be like, yet.
There are a lot of Nintendo games that would fit well on moblie devices. If they ever decided to go that route, they'd already have an existing library of games. I wonder if they're doing that on purpose...?
