Looks like a fun time.

I thought Forrest Gump was ok, but still don't get the massive hype around it.

I guess it still irks me either way, just moreso in conversation.

But wait, what movie from 2000 do you want to watch now? 

Haha I know how you feel. Kinda wish there were cash prizes for Platinum trophies so I didn't have to question my life choices.

Yeah, the written reviews were pretty positive. I'm not saying I thought 7s were bad scores, just that I enjoyed them more than games rated higher for whatever reason.

I get that. I don't mind it too much in articles or top 10s because I get that they're using definitive statements for both flow and entertainment. I mind it more in what are supposed to be serious reviews, but I get it there too. It still grinds my gears a bit though.

It's when I say I have watched/played/read something recently and think it's alright and someone responds with, more or less, "you're wrong, it's great" that really irritates me.

Nothing in particular, i just don't like being told what I should enjoy. Pet peeve made into a dumb blog because I'm carrying a lot of glucose right now. 

That's interesting about the review scoring. Too much stock is put in that stuff sometimes. I remember actively seeking out games EGM gave 7s to because for some reason those were always really fun for me.

I love a few of his songs, I find a few others a bit boring. I appreciate his uniquness though. To be fair, I think ranking musicians is a bit ridiculous from the word go, same with comedians.
