I hope you're right! I would love for there to be more diversity in our shooters.
Jumping and shooting can make for a good game, too. This just emphasizes to me how difficult it is to make a great game with those mechanics, e.g. Mega Man.
I don't get the hype for this one either. I got this in a bundle of Genesis games a couple of years ago and found it pretty dull.
Of the parts I got to play, there was a gray, dank fortress and the sunny, autumnal asylum areas. It certainly doesn't look like your typical visual design.
I was going to suggest the same! Only heard about it on Idle Thumbs, so I can't vouch for it, though.
Well, I reviewed the first story DLC (The Knife of Dunwall)*. I have a feeling the second one will be just about as good. You play as Daud which is fun. It is not on par with the full game by any means, but I still like it.
Since it's DLC you're going back to partially recycled locations and all of the little details in the world I love aren't as plentiful. It's still good and worth your time for sure.
*Looks like those images are lost... We had some problems and didn't get everything restored. I'll have to work on that one.
OK, OK, you're right, I'm not really number one. I'm top tier, though! Stoked for the rest of the DLC! I played the first mission at QuakeCon and it was great to be back in Dunwall.
I asked about playing single player. Your squad will be filled in with AI if you're alone. If you have anyone else playing with you, it won't add AI to your squad. So, if it's just you and one friend, that's all you've got. There is no change in difficulty for that scenario either. Going to be tough, but that's probably what people buying this would want.
I am right there with you on no aim-assist. It's going to take some practice!
That timing makes sense. The final DLC comes out next week so after that settles a little, they can release the full package. You won't find a bigger Dishonored fan than me, so I'm glad that this version will pull some more people in.
