Yeah, I mentioned the games I was most excited for in my last blog: MGSV, FFXV, Mirror's Edge 2, and Destiny.

Killer Instinct sounds good, but the free-to-play thing has me convinced that it is not a serious competitor to other 3D fighters like Street Fighter IV or the new Mortal Kombat. I just can't imagine them releasing it free-to-play if it had that kind of depth.

So you loved The Bouncer? That game is pretty infamous for being one of Square's worst games at a time they could do no wrong! I've always wanted to play it though.

Based on your title, I thought that was a reference to the Heartless from Kingdom Hearts. This is fine too.

Now that you mention it, you're right Xbox One does have better exclusives. Ryse also looks like it has potential. Sony is likely holding on to a few trump cards for later. Last Guardian is likely moving to PS4 and Uncharted 4 will probably be announced once Last of Us has had its time in the spotlight. That said, the games I am most looking forward to are all multiplatform and PS4 is definitely looking like the platform I want to play them on.

I wouldn't mind a Wii U, but I would probably rather pick up a cheap Wii at this point (I missed out on that one this gen). That might go to the back-burner once more if I get a PS4.

Yes, Sony's announcement was quite a relief to see they are the furthest from embracing Microsoft's absurd ideas. I suppose I would consider Xbox One down the road, when the Xbox One Slim releases! I guess by then it's exclusive lineup will have dropped to $20 and I might not mind only partially owning games at a low cost.

FFXV looks like it'll finally deliver on those age-old promises of Versus XIII. I'm kind of burnt out on Kingdom Hearts after all those side-stories, but I'm interested in hearing more about the third one.

Right now, I'm putting the blame on the current managers of Xbox One. I doubt Xbox circa-2005 would have considered releasing such a train-wreck.

I don't exactly consider WiiU next-gen. Though I can see in some ways the controller is next-gen they all still look like PS3/360 games to me. But yeah, looking at the four next-gen games I mentioned, it's not looking likely any of them will be available when the PS4 launches this November so it'll definitely be a slow start.

Really, I would love to play the new Killer Instinct (the SNES game was the first video game I ever owned), but the idea that you don't really own the games you buy is enough to sour even a great launch line-up.

The lengthy briefing videos as whole didn't feel very necessary from what I remember.
