I played some of III on NES a while back but couldn't get into it. I keep wanting to try again sometime, these games are so influential.
I enjoyed the warp sequence in your video. Mixing space travel in a RPG is an interesting combo.

I used to have a Saturn but I don't really want another one because the games I'd want to play (the ones you mentioned) are really expensive to get for it. I don't know though. If I saw a Saturn for a good price I might pick one up. What the heck.
I was just looking at those Turrican games. I may try one out.
I've played EDF World Bros on Switch and really liked it. It would be a blast with others. The sequel has been on my wish list for a while now as well as main series EDF 6.
I played Psychonauts 2 on Game Pass when it was there but couldn't get through it. I got a little frustrated with the platforming elements, as I usually do. I want to try it again though.
I need to play some Ys games some more. I have Oath of Felghana remaster on my wish list still.
Thanks. I'm always interested in your gaming as well, and the ranger stuff too.
The reversed second table is a neat feature of Black Hole. I really need to hit my local pinball arcade to see if they have that one. I've never played it in the wild. Lucky you.
Blood Dragon was great. It was so funny. I never beat it though. Something stopped me later on in the game.
Yes. My gaming buddy and I have played the remake to heck and back. He actually beat it, but I got frustrated. I've beaten the original though, but these days I just don't have the patience for it. And yeah, those spots that turn you in a random direction are super annoying. I think I reexperienced that on level 3 recently, but there are more farther down if I remember right.
I played a bunch of 2D platformers today, and even though many of them had great music, design, and nifty mechanics, I just can stick with them. Most of them have too many hazards to overcome even in the first level. I like DKC though as it doesn't try to kill you every darn second and you can accumulate bananas for more lives. I did play a Shantae game once and liked it. I'll give one a chance next time I get one to play.
Emulation is way cool and maybe one day I'll go that route. Console hardware takes up a lot of space I don't have.
I actually went back to the first Farm Together for a bit to see if I had the stomach to get that last achievement, but I found out pretty quickly the grind is a little more intense in that one and I don't want to sink another 300hrs into it.
I enjoyed Color of Magic and what I got to in The Light Fantastic but I was always a little confused for some reason I've yet to figure out. Maybe they way the characters are lifted from one crazy situation to another so frequently. I want to read at least the first three books.
The first book of the New Sun was pretty great. I've been naming all my gaming characters the main character Severian after reading it. I found the first two books bundled together at my library, but yeah, they aren't around in the used books stores I go to for some reason. Maybe one will turn up sometime though. I'll be looking for them to own. Oh, if you read it, have a dictionary nearby. I looked up a lot of new words reading The Shadow of the Torturer (the first book in the New Sun series).
Yeah, my friend mows that thing down 'cause he maxed out his gun. It ends up being really easy. I was probably boosting the wrong stuff, as usual, but I read a kind of cheat online that if you just walk up to it, dodge it's stomp move, and hammer it with punches, it goes down pretty easy. I may try that when I go back to it.
