I'm actually pretty excited to play. The universe seems interesting and brutal. GS had a buy 2, get one free deal and I had enough points for a discount coupon, so I ended up getting the three for $6. Not too bad.
Yup. Pen and paper. They're great fun. My group and I try to play when we have time. It's mostly short adventures instead of full on campaigns now though.
Sometimes debates over hypotheticals are fun and pretty good at putting the mind in order. Debating economics is the "grown-up" version of Avengers vs Justice League. Though putting economic theories to work would have a much greater global impact than a series of comics...

There's two reasons we're doing it live. 1) It's more entertaining that way 2) My friend and I tend to talk over each other and reference other crap we've said, so editing would be a bitch I don't have time for!
We're planning to go through all 3 Gears titles (maybe Judgment), and maybe some other co-op titles too. We've been eyeing Fuse for a while...Stay tuned
