The only "payment" you will receive is in the form of review copies. We don't get ALL games we review from publishers, but we get a fair amount. You will never be required to buy a game strictly for review. If you are buying  a game on day one (or close) and we have no review copy, then oftentimes we'd like you to review it if possible. All of this assumes that you are interested in writing reviews and not just other types of posts. If you want more specific details, feel free to send an email to the jobs AT pixlbit DAWT com address.

As far as perks go (and this is really cheesy) all we can offer you is the satisfaction of having your work posted on a website with good traffic and a very active community. It is surprisingly satisfying. Also, you can use this as an opportunity to improve your writing and build up a catalog of work should you decide to try and get writing work elsewhere. Of course, we don't want you to leave us, so ignore that last bit.

I love me some trashy games, but this might be even too much for me.

I only know the plagiarized 8th grade version. I'm guessing it's the same as the show.

I've yet to read any of his writing, but I have a distinct memory of his work. In 8th grade we had to write an eerie story around Halloween and read it to the class. There was one story that was genuinely good and everyone enjoyed it...until someone realized they had stolen Button Button and claimed it as their own. I wonder what grade they got...

I can get into the zone like that with Punch-Out!! and completely clear my head. I forgot about that one... Of course, the peacefulness only lasts until Bald Bull 2.

I relied on the unlocked birdman mode in N64 Pilot Wings to get me through some tough times in college. More recently, any game I can get in some pointless exploration does the trick, like Far Cry 3 or Skyrim.

It is amazing! I felt like I'd be hammering it into the text, so it got left out. Everyone should listen to it, even if they never play the game. It is perfect.

A little reaffirmation, and "classic" gaming.

I recently bought Faxanadu at Half Price Books, but I have to hook the NES up again to give it a go. I rented it once 20 years ago, so my memories are a bit foggy! Hope to find out what you think of it.

Glad you wrapped up LoZ. For the longest time it was my favorite game and it's responsible for my love of games. I couldn't play it the last time I tried, though, so I understand why you didn't love it.

Well, it appears to have wrapped up. Even though the lot number went to 1089, there were some big gaps in lot numbers later on. Looked like there were some cheaper fixer-uppers later on (which is typical) but nothing that was a super deal. Well, there were tons of Neo Geos that looked pretty good and pretty cheap. You can click on that link and still peruse the prices and lots if you're curious.
