no it was still open world, and you sailed around. it's just the graphics sucked. I think the fact that you had complete freedom from the get go is what made it so enjoyable. I love just exploring different towns and sailing around the map.
I used to play hour upon hour of Pirates on my computer growing up in all it's CGA graphics glory. I remember the soundcard I had was so shitty it sounded just like mad noise when music played when I captured a town or ship. Still, I had a lot of fun. Never found my missing family though.
thos wizardry games are pretty hardcore, man. NEver played one myself, but I've heard a lot about them.
I'd like to play Persona Q but I want to wait until I have a 3DS with a bigger screen. Looks fun though.

I love Lovecraft. What I like about him is his enthusiasm in what he's doing... I mean he's writing this horror, but you can tell in every sentence how much he's enjoying it. Great writer.

I love my ipad too. gonna upgrade sometime next year.. I have a 3rd generation right now. Might get a mini 3 or an Air 2, I dunno yet. IT's amazing how many different things you can do with them, from surfing to games, to even multitrack music recording. Plus I used it to navigate on our motorhome trip.
